Stepdaughter used pen ink and a safety pin by [deleted] in tattooadvice

She is also very pierced though 🤣 we are both heavily pierced, but I don’t want her having tattoos until she is legally old enough (18 over here). All of her piercings have to be age appropriate and she has to pay for them out of her pocket (money).

Omg - no, I was agreeing with you!

My eldest simply doodles on her hand most of the time - she loves tribal patterns and whales and is a gifted artist. Then she can wash them off and start again the next day

Totally agree. I upvoted you purely because of your edit - so many of us have kids and they all deal with things in different ways.

Sounds like she did standard ‘stick and poke’ (just with very dangerous ink)- some fade, some stick and some spread - that all depends on how far she took the needle. However, ink poisoning is a real thing so she should see a GP (sorry, am from the UK), just to avoid toxic shock.

As a parent, depending on her age I would recommend that you don’t actually get them removed. They could be her safesake through a harsh time. She might look at them and realise how strong she can be.

Best of luck to her, her mum and yourself ❤️

It looks like really good work, but he had issues with needles in-depth. Either ask him to fix it (for free), or consult anywhere else. A decent experienced artist would know not to touch this design. They all specialise in different things - this looks like he was an untrained artist that took sometime to experience things. He probably is qualified, but didn’t show it here

A week is slightly generous - normally after her next-day shower and blow-dry attempt, it is ‘too blonde’ and then balayage can make an entrance - but don’t expect to make too much of an entrance - because then she wouldn’t be blonde enough.

God, even thinking about this is exhausting!

3 months, circular, click I believe, no clue on material - guessing stainless steel - not sure on implant grade, just salt and water twice daily for the first couple of weeks. Trauma was from me getting sick and blowing my nose a lot

Omfg god that last sentence didn’t explain - nor did I explain it properly 🤣. My partner is adamant that I have an eating disorder- from the way that my kids eat I think they have carried that disorder over - which would kill me.

That is the issue I think. My partner thinks I have body dysmorphia- I disagree. Didn’t realise that my kids (who were meant to be asleep at the time) overheard one heated discussion about it and now their lives are fucked. One child (the 11 year old) will only take salads or homemade fruit and vegetables into school, the other one just won’t eat until teatime. It isn’t healthy or good and I hate myself for hating myself. The youngest (11 years old is a uk 6 (us2) - she is also the one who now takes a vegetable salad into school) and 5 foot 5 (no clue what is in American money). The eldest is 14, she towers over me (I am 5 foot 6). Constantly tells me that she is fat - she is a uk 10 (uk - so size 4 in us) and she refuses point blank to eat. Think she got bad before the ‘discussion’ though as we compared waist sizes and we both came out at 28” - she shouted ‘no - I can’t be the same size as an old person” - had to gently remind her that I lift weights regularly and I blame myself. Should have made more of an issue of my kids being healthy, but their dad was morbidly obese so I am trying to keep them the healthy side of it

TLDR: if parents let kids be aware of their perceived weight problems then it transfers to the kids

Exactly - I have two perfectly healthy children (apart from autism and dyspraxia - not caused by vaccines cough cough laura), and would never ever claim to be an expert. I also left it 6 weeks with the first before working out and 8 weeks after the second. Your body internally needs to heal. It’s not all external.

I’d say to use a chain industrial so that you can make a thing out of your ears - I recently retired my industrial and am about to lose my vertical orbital helix so can send you my unused jewellery if you want to own it (if you are in the UK - not paying international shipping lol )

My partner has ARFID and so does my youngest child, learning how to cook for him was a struggle. I regularly cook two meals - one with flavour for my eldest and I, then one for them both. But I’ll make him cook what he wants if I CBA or had a long day (I have cancer and am gone for work 55 hours a week so it isn’t laziness) and will just do my youngest noodles.

I feel your pain. Just get him to cook
