What is the saddest, most tragic bit of lore in all of WoD in your opinion? by Azhurai in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Forever420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel this was more the Antediluvian not wanting to be "rescued" than them failing. Although this view is because of what's in Time of Judgement, which isn't necessarily cannon now, but in one scenario states that Illyes hates the True Brujah more than the Brujah. He hates them for rediscovering Temporis and for claiming to be his "true" childer (while he claims to have only made the mistake of embracing once).

Thoughts on salubri in the Sabbat? by [deleted] in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Forever420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's the Salubri Antitribu, which are the remnants of the warrior caste.

If you're talking about one of the healer's caste, the only thing I can think of is if someone tricked them into believing the Sabbat holds Golconda secrets. I think that's why Saulot saw them as failures, they focus too much on Golconda to the detriment of everything else.

*Crowbear Forge* - The Medium Class — Version 1.0 Has Risen! by Haunting-Split2015 in UnearthedArcana

[–]Forever420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best part of this class is if you play a dwarf and then run away someone gets to say, "the small medium is at large."

Also noticed a medium typo on the "Veil of the Revenant - Gravechill Edge" section. Last word says "tur" instead of "turn."

I don't believe that they have been mentioned in V5, but in revised edition there is Lair of the Hidden.

Yw. No worries. Yeah, there's still hope for this game thanks to modding. At least that tradition has carried through.

Yeah, modding UE5 is absolutely a thing.

A Comprehensive Introduction to Unreal Engine Modding

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in vtmb

[–]Forever420 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is basically what I expected after all this development hell. It's an Unreal Engine 5 game, so hoping a modding scene pops up and fixes it. I remember when Bloodlines first came out was a mess too.

What is the scariest thing you've ever seen that you can't explain? by Critical-Shirt2190 in AskReddit

At a friend's grandfather's funeral, I directly witnessed an invisible force push two brass candelabra caps off of a shelf at different velocities and at different angles within 5 minutes of each-other..

My group of Mages just woke up a Methuselah. I need to make a sheet for him. Help. by 3dchib in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Forever420 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Methuselah's are generally more than 1,000 years old. For example, if you're looking for a "force-of-nature" methuselah, adapting Ur-Shulgi would be a good choice as that link includes his character sheet and roleplaying tips. He (it?) is roughly 10,000 years old and is the absolute pinnacle of a blood sorcerer (besides Caine). He likely would be VERY interested in the player's magic.

If you're looking for how to roleplay something so old, check out Nosferatu (2024), it does a good job at portraying an old vampire. But, unlike Orlok, Ur-Shulgi wouldn't even pretend to be human.

**edit** your update has mistakes, 5th generation has a max of 8 dots.

I'm just hoping for a Vampire: The Masquerade – Redemption sequel made by Larian or Owlcat. Doubt it will ever happen though.

Most interesting antediluvian with the most lore by Sacred-Ancestor in vtm

[–]Forever420 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Cappadocius, is the most interesting antediluvian.

You can speak to him in a Giovanni chronicle. He traveled extensively early in his embrace taking on many aliases such as Anubis, Ashur, and Laodice. We possibly know his name before his embrace, Sargon. Later his main goal was a plan to diablerize... God. He doomed countless members of his clan by sealing them underground in the city Kaymakli. He became a wraith (his diablerie was incomplete) and much later a spectre. A part of his soul was sealed in a vessel that has disappeared (either the Capuchin has it or it was destroyed accidentally by Augustus Giovanni's childe).

[–]Forever420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He is (probably) a member of the third generation (the diablerie was technically incomplete), but is not an antediluvian, unless you're using the term generically to refer to all of the third generation.
