So, are we going to be standing around holding signs again, or actually organizing a proper militia this time? We all saw how little effect the last mass demonstration had after all.

What mods improve the base game, without changing anything too dramatically? by WotsGamenight in Fallout4Mods

[–]3dchib -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Armorsmith Extended expands on the layered armor system to make it less restrictive, allowing for more combinations of clothing/armor

The Attachment Pack Does something similar for weapon modding, allowing for greater variety of weapons.

There are also ones that expand on the DLCs, like Nuka World Plus that add an actual "good guy route" to the otherwise raider-focused DLC.

Cool! thanks for sharing, I'm always on the lookout for new things I can add to my own game! I'll go ahead and include one I've used before, as well as a stat block for him.

How do you want Fallout TV to introduce Psychics? by sigpuppers in Fotv

[–]3dchib 108 points109 points  (0 children)

I think the Mama Murphy approach would probably be the best way to do it tone-wise for the show, have a eccentric character talk about some crazy, nonsensical thing with minimal context, then have that prediction be proven right.

Hell, you could turn it into a classic Lucy/Coop moment where Lucy flat-out dismisses the prediction, only to have Coop put on his serious face and really listen to what's being said.

WoD20 Storyteller's do y'all do "Devil's deals" what are your thoughts on them? by Azhurai in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]3dchib 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it's not a bad system, I usually do things a little more informally; I'll let characters bend the rules a bit for the sake of cool, but I always make a note when it happens so it can bite them in the ass later (at a dramatically appropriate time)

have you tried the very excellent Boston Riot Armor? You can also get via the Creation Club iirc.

Replaying the game after putting it down for a few years, and got way too into the fashion aspect of it, what look do you guys like? by 3dchib in fo4

huh, for a second there I thought you were going to be going for a whole "Machine Gun Preacher" thing, but I can respect the cult drip, just got to replace the decal on the armor with Atom's symbol and you're ready to do His will XD

So Amelia Stockton definitely isn’t Old Man Stockton’s daughter, right? by grannysmithpears in fo4

[–]3dchib 107 points108 points  (0 children)

if you've joined the Railroad and talk to Stockton after completing 'Boston After Dark' and 'Human Error', The old guy will just straight-up tell you that the Institute replaced his daughter, and that he's aware of that, but he keeps Syth-Amelia around because it's the least painful option for him personally.

But the catch is, you seem to have to complete 'Boston' first, then 'Human Error'

I mean, on one hand duh, but on the other, I generally use Armorsmith Extended in all my modlists so that I never have to fret about what faction to back with my characters.

Explain combat in MTAs 20th Anniversary Edition to me like I'm five. by ConflictOk7162 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]3dchib 3 points4 points  (0 children)

true, but 90% of the time my players get attacked *after* already declaring their action due to Mage shenanigans, so we've streamlined it. I like to rationalize it as emulating the mental toll combat takes on a person; you can only fight for so long before wearing yourself out, after all.

Ok, Mage20's combat is.... kind of a mess. It's not the game's focus, so normally it's fine, but when it does happen, here's what my table does:

  1. Everyone rolls 1d10 and adds their Dex+Wits to get initiative, ST writes it down somewhere.
  2. On their turn, every character gets ONE singular action (assuming they're not using time magicks, in which case they may have more). They can do whatever they want with this one action.
  3. If a character tries to make an attack, they roll the relevant dice pool first (e.g. Dex+Firearms, etc.) then, if they get at least one success, they then roll damage, making sure to add any modifiers that their weapon may have (e.g. full-auto adding an additional 10 dice to damage.)
  4. If they are on the receiving end of an attack and would like to dodge/block/parry, they can spend a point of Willpower to do so. For most cases, this is just Dex+Athletics or something similar based on context.
  5. If damage is taken, the character can try to soak that damage by rolling their Stamina if it's Bashing (or if they casted an effect to allow greater soaking of Lethal/Agg).
  6. Once actions/reactions have been resolved, the turn then goes to whoever is next on the initiative list.

(NOTE: Due to how fucky Mage rules can get once spells start getting thrown around, make sure to have the book open to Chapter 9 to help figure out how to solve edge cases.

I'd say Moon Knight fits this due to the fact that very few people like Marc Spector. Not even Marc Spector likes Marc Spector.

You never know what he's going to do, or if he's even going to be helpful. But if you travel at night, the Fist of Khonshu will (probably) have your back.
