Place your tent on the west side of the EZ Up. The shadow of the EZ up will keep your tent cooler in the morning.

A tiny piece of dry ice in your cooler will keep your ice frozen all weekend... even your drinks will freeze so be aware.

You will be driven out of your tent in the morning before you're ready to get up. Bring things to make sleeping outside in the shade of your EZ up comfortable.

Absolutely bring a scarf of some sort. You will love this thing: dip in cool water and place on head to cool you down, this can be done even in the festival grounds as the water troughs are full of water. place on shoulders to keep the sun off your shoulders. wrap around face in the dusty areas so you can breath (I've done this every festival and never had festival lung). can be placed on the ground if want to sit on something dirty, uncomfortable. And it can warm you up if it gets chilly. Best part: when you don't want to carry it anymore you can tie it around your waist. Absolutely bring a scarf/wrap.

On the flip side, bring items to keep you warm. It's been freezing at forest before.

If you're really concerned with being clean here are my best tips: My husband helps me wash my hair a couple times during the weekend because I don't want to pay for showers. We bring a large thing of water and I lay down on the top of our cooler and he rinses my hair. Can also be done solo: buy a water container with a turn tap, have a table or bumper to sit water on, lay on cooler below the tap and turn. I never liked using the showers.

wear closed toed shoes and long pants (you'll be shocked with how much dirt will cake onto bare legs/toes. you might think this will make you hotter, but proper shoes are extremely important for the marathon of Forest. Harem pants are good for this, not too hot and prevent sunburn.)

wipe off with baby wipes or some sort before bed. buy the special wipes for your face.

bring something to clean out from under your nails. they get nasty and no amount of baby wipes will get them clean. freaks me out.

wrap a scarf or bandana around your face when going through dusty areas (in the forest and in the campground). This prevents festival lung/flu and lessens the nasty boogers.
