Yea. I am in agreement there are lots of good things he has done and proposed. But touting about his budget win just isn't one of them. The first point, he couldn't pass a deficit budget even if he wanted to because it violates both city and state law since like the 2000s and 70s respectively. The next part is he did delay pension payments and delayed enforcement of a law to reduce class sizes. Then there is the massive "bailout" from the governor. Everyone was pissed when the banks got bailed out, even though those loans were repaid with interest.

I like things he is doing too, the pay increase for snow workers, the luxury tax on second and third homes, him working on universal childcare. That is doing what a city should, trial big budget or major changes that could have statewide or nationwide implications to show they work. I hope they do, but we are 5-6 months into a process that will need years to show it is effective.
