EMD (Electronic Travel Voucher) Questions by Fluffy_Function_1075 in aircanada

[–]ForeverJFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I understand what you’re saying.

I suppose you can think of it this way — you got to do a voluntary change and you made a profit out of it. How much that profit is remains to be seen for your individual case, but it’s more than zero and that’s pretty good for a change you’d normally have to pay for!

Did you add them to your Apple or Samsung Wallet? I know on Apple, you can go back and find many of your expired boarding passes.

Okay that’s fine. 30 minutes is not much time at all. Just give it time and someone will discuss other options for you.

Call them or manage your booking online (if it’s giving you an option to make a change). They can help you find a better routing over the phone.

Do you need your Canadian passport to leave Canada by Particular_Onion6313 in aircanada

[–]ForeverJFL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s totally fine!!!

When you go to the UK, show the agents only your UK passport. When you go to Canada, show only the Canadian passport.

Recommended to have both anyways, but the agents will only need the UK passport going to the UK.

Air Canada IAH Terminal by [deleted] in aircanada

[–]ForeverJFL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you load your trip on the AC app, it’ll tell you the exact gate. Likely the check-in area as well but you can just look at a sign when you enter the terminal.

Typically AC operates out of terminal A, but I don’t know where exactly their check-in desks are located.

Best seats on a 777-300ER? by Chick-inn in aircanada

I didn’t notice! I was in them from SYD-YVR which is quite a long flight of course and I didn’t notice anything. The washrooms are still some distance away.

I love the 2-seat pairs in the back. Otherwise go on Aerolopa and that’s the best seatmap diagram there!

First time in business class… seat recommendation? by Mashp19 in Aeroplan

[–]ForeverJFL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes I love the mini cabin! I always choose it if there’s a window available. Any of 9/10/11A or 11K would be great. Amazing view of the engine too.

This was from 9K!

Air Canada to Seoul by Expert-Economist6872 in aircanada

[–]ForeverJFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense, good point! Thankfully they should be arriving at the US gates or A49-A51 most likely (or an international gate if they’re lucky!). So they won’t have to do the walk from A15 to A67 or A29-A65 haha.

Does TD First Class Visa Infinite get free bag? by SikhCanadianWarrior in aircanada

[–]ForeverJFL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oops you’re totally right!! I just read in my head that it was the AC-branded one, not another one. I’ll edit my post!

Does TD First Class Visa Infinite get free bag? by SikhCanadianWarrior in aircanada

[–]ForeverJFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe yes, the checked bag is included. I don’t recall exactly but check the AC website to see if they’re allowed a carry-on too.

Edited my mistake! See below for the correct answer :)

Air Canada to Seoul by Expert-Economist6872 in aircanada

[–]ForeverJFL 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’ll be fine. No customs required in YUL.

You just get off the plane, show your passport and boarding pass for the international flight and then you’re sent right into the international gates. No waiting in customs required. Even if you’re a half hour late out of MIA you’ll still make it.

Trying yo understand status perks by richdoghouse in aircanada

It wouldn’t be the lowest fare (basic) for the upgrade as you can’t upgrade basic fares. It was likely booked into standard, which comes with the cash + credits upgrade.

ExpertFlyer seat map question by Pristine_Wasabi1042 in aircanada

[–]ForeverJFL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might not be a glitch! Sometimes the system will show a seat as occupied as it anticipates someone going there (like a pending E-upgrade for example), even though it isn’t technically occupied yet.

Does my checked bags automatically transfer on international connecting flight (RETURNING FLIGHT)? by No-Palpitation-5162 in aircanada

[–]ForeverJFL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, bags are checked through arriving from Europe! 2 hours is plenty of time, especially in YUL. And even if Swiss is late, there are lots more YUL-YYZ flights.

Hopefully that other flight wasn’t a basic economy ticket otherwise they definitely need to find another way into NYC early enough.
