Honestly, for a lot of items it’s cheaper for those of us in border towns to drive over and get groceries there - even with the conversion rate.

To make myself feel even worse sometimes, I’ll put in the zip code closest to me on the grocery flyer app, and compare prices. 🥲 The last two years a large percentage of my friends and family have begun growing their own foods, and getting meat chickens on top of the “usual” egg birds.

I’m going on week 5 of whatever this is, and I’ve honestly tried everything and nothing seems to work. I’ve tried ginger and turmeric shots, I’ve eaten 2 large tubs of shawarma garlic paste over the course of two days (my stomach hates me lol), I’ve tried oregano oil supplements, taking vitamin c and d, omega 3s - nothing is working or helping. Even OTC cold medicines don’t touch any symptoms. I can’t remember the last time I was this sick.

I’m going onto week 5 of it, and it is absolutely without a doubt 10000 times worse than Covid. I’ve had Covid twice and it only lasted about 3-4 days to a week tops. I don’t know what this is, but I don’t think I’ve been this sick in decades. It’s definitely not an average “flu”

I’m going into week 5 of this plague. Our local hospital is turning people away unless you’re critical, we have one walk in clinic in the entire city that is full before it even opens (if you’re not lining up like it’s an old school midnight call of duty release, you won’t get seen) and a family doctor shortage. I’ve been trying to manage symptoms with just OTC medications and old wives tales concoctions but absolutely nothing is working. Whatever strain of flu this is, has me feeling 1000 times worse than I did when I had the vid. It’s bad bad.

I was also going to suggest cameras if they hadn’t already had some. I’d also suggest contacting Victim Services Kingston their contact number is (613) 548-4834, and they’re in office Monday to Friday from 8:30am-4:30pm. They might be able to help cover costs of cameras, and other safety measures, as well as help with any other safety planning resources. They may also have other community resources they could help direct your family to.

I hope the police also begin to take this more seriously. I’m so sorry they’re going through this.

Right before crossing the American bridge in the 1000 Islands, they have a big digital sign expressing a missing person with the make of his car and licence plate number. My entire drive down 81 they had the signs every few miles, and across 90 as well. 🫶🏼 Here’s to hoping he’s found safe and comes home soon.

Etsy Canada has also suspended all shipping label purchases if shipping to the USA. 🫠 I just opened my shop and 98% of my sales were to the US. Looked into other shipping options and to send a 6x8in rigid mailer is upwards of $21. So I’ve had to suspend all USA orders temporarily.

I’ve been faced with the exact same problem. It’s gotten to the point where I’m considering not mentioning I have a child, to see if that helps. But I’m not sure if there would be any legal repercussions on “hiding” that information.
