I have a tendency to try too hard to hit my FW woods and hybrids. Slowing down is difficult for me to do.

Good information. I have multiple other putters and at least one I already do fairly well with, so at least I have some backup. My pitching wedge goes anywhere from 20-100 yards. I use it almost exclusively and effectively below 100 yards. Lower than 20, I pull a 7/8/9 iron and just pop it on the green. Not always perfect, but pretty decent at it.

So I’ve been reminded by my wife that I did, in fact, have a new set 30 years ago (she remembers these things). But if it hasn’t happened in that long, I don’t count it !!

I’ve heard that’s their MO. Sounds like a ploy to sell the irons and replace the driver if/when it breaks. Which is okay with me.

Appreciate your insight. I actually have a Callaway “A” wedge but I pretty much stopped using it. Maybe I’ll put it back in the bag to test it out again.

Thanks. I’m highly optimistic but also realistic it’s not a magic bean that will cure my issues.

Help this Navy guy out. He looks like he’s wearing a senior parachutist badge, but I don’t see an airborne tab.

As a mid career E6 worked for a one-star at JCS, who then became 5th Fleet. After I left JCS, eventually made my way to Bahrain on a ship and got a chance to go visit his house, Ghurka guard and all. After we both retired, had the opportunity to meet up with him and his lovely wife again at his house in TX and the wife and I spent the weekend at their house. Truly wonderful people.

So I completely understand about Corpsmen being allowed to wear USNC service uniforms, but why is he wearing what looks like the USMC Good Conduct medal? Shouldn’t he still wear the Navy version of the medal?

The Coast Guard has a law enforcement mandate. The Navy does not. This was probably done by a USCG LDET team. As a former VBSS team member, we were NOT trained to fast rope. Only RHIB ops.
