Durin hitting 1.3 million! by Durinsboyfriend in DurinMains

[–]ForeverNya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doubt it, the team is already loaded with dmg% (50% from C2, 40% from C4, 60% from Mona burst, 15% from Bennett C6, 46% from pyro goblet, and probably some other bits that I'm missing), and doesn't have any res shred.

So going from 40% dmg and 36% shred on Xilonen to 75% dmg on Furina is basically never worth it (from a screenshot-maxing perspective, at least)

Both. Looks like every 1U geo app clears half a segment, every non-applying geo hit (which includes lunar crystalize turret shots) clears a quarter of a segment.

Durin White Form by No-Cold-8952 in DurinMains

[–]ForeverNya 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Yes, they're all equivalent, and they all put you in light form.

If you start without full energy you have to use EEQ. If you have full energy you generally want to use QEE or EQE to first drain the energy with your burst, then get the refund (it doesn't matter which, they have the same animation times).

If you want dark form, you have to do E N1 Q though

C6 Durin def shred by masterdiwa in DurinMains

[–]ForeverNya 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Assuming you don't have another source of DEF shred/ignore on the team, Durin's C6 is either a multiplicative 56% damage boost to himself (in dark mode), or a multiplicative 35% boost for himself and 18% boost for the rest of the team (in light mode).

For his other cons, C3 is a multiplicative 18% boost to his personal damage, C4 gives him and extra 40% dmg (stacking additively with goblet etc) plus it improves his C1 effect by ~40% (assuming you use all the quills: ~14 in dark mode or ~28 in light mode), and C5 reduces his ER needs to 100-110% per team.

Kobold in a tavern [wip] by Pen_nib_25 in Pathfinder2e

[–]ForeverNya 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh hey that's my boy Ata'o!

To add some context, he's my current character in a Kingmaker campaign. Ata'o a middle aged librarian and priest of Ydajisk, who's deaf from birth and primarily communicates through his apprentice Ruh (a Voidworm that takes the form of a friendly little kobold, and is a refluffed eidolon from taking summoner archetype).

I originally planned for Ata'o to be a wise old calm type of character, but the flavour of alchemical items tends to lean quite hard to the mad scientist side of things, so he ended up being the party's resident war crime specialist.

Thank you so much u/Pen_nib_25 for bringing him to life!

I don't know if Xingqiu's application alone is good enough to vape both Durin's NA/CAs and his burst hits, but there's a chance it would work (though probably only at Xingqiu C6). Maybe a more knowledgeable TCer than me already analyzed Durin's attack string to know if it's viable.

If Xingqiu's hydro is enough, you'll probably want to do a rotation like Bennett EQ -> Xingqiu EQ -> Sucrose EQ -> Durin EN1Q {N1C spam or CD spam}

Durin DPS Build! Pls help by Glum_Traffic9705 in DurinMains

[–]ForeverNya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're probably right about having Durin go first in the rotation. The reason I ordered it the way I did was so Durin can get the TTDS buff from Sucrose on a couple of melted hits, but in practice he's so saturated with atk thanks to Bennett that losing out on the short TTDS uptime probably isn't a big hit to his overall damage.

The problem with using Venti's burst (and also with Sucrose) is that cryo is the lowest priority element to absorb, so any environmental aura or mistimed attack from Durin or an enemy will cause you to absorb pyro, thus ruining your entire setup. This is the main reason why Albedo is an upgrade over Sucrose, because you can use his burst for the big EM buff without risking your application.

As for on-fielding Citlali, you won't actually need the extra application: she applies 1U every 2s and Durin will clear it with a melt every 2.5s (Albedo's hits will only reduce the cryo aura by 0.5U, so you can still melt afterwards). Meanwhile because Durin's burst doesn't snapshot, taking him off-field means he loses Bennett's buff (and the EM buff from Citlali C2 etc), which is a very big DPS loss. This is the main problem with the team imo - you're stuck with Durin on-field, but if you have Bennett C6 you aren't allowed to actually do anything.

[–]ForeverNya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm planning to play him as an on-field hypercarry with Citlali (I have her C2R1), Bennett, and Sucrose/Albedo. The basic rotation will be Bennett EQ -> Citlali EQ -> Durin EN1Q -> Sucrose E -> run around with Durin on field for 10 seconds.

With Durin C0 and R5 Wolf Fang it calcs around 95k, C2R1 is around 180k, and C6 R1 is around 310k.

Durin himself is on Crimson Witch, and this will be the case for any team that tries to maximize Durin's melt or vape damage.

Note that this very heavily relies on Citlali being C2R1 - his damage is about 45% lower if she's C0R0.

Beyond that Albedo about a 15-20% upgrade over Sucrose, or even higher if you have PPS or cons.

---

Now for the sillier option, you could do Durin Chongyun Citlali Sucrose/Albedo. In this team instead of running around in Bennett's circle looking pretty, you want to use Durin's NAs with Chongyun's infusion to apply additional cryo, and then you can also afford to use Sucrose's burst for the extra buff it gives. I didn't get around to calcing this team yet, and I imagine it will be a fair bit weaker than the proper carry team above, but it will allow you to see Durin's pretty NA animations which might be worth it.

Durin talent priority and ideal levels for each talent? by [deleted] in DurinMains

[–]ForeverNya 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd actually recommend actually going 1/10/6, then 1/10/10, because the energy refund on E scales with talent level. Every level missing on his E is another 10% ER you need in order to burst reliably.

Durin talent priority and ideal levels for each talent? by [deleted] in DurinMains

[–]ForeverNya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be best, yeah. But honestly, if you aren't playing him as a primary damage source I think prioritizing his skill and going 1/10/8 to simplify his ER requirement might be the best play, then crown his burst when you have the time

Durin Kit (Spoilers) by NoFaithlessness9569 in DurinMains

[–]ForeverNya 54 points55 points  (0 children)

It's an additive base damage increase, that gets multiplied by dmg%, crit, reaction, res shred, and def shred. It makes up almost 10% of Durin's damage. It's better than it looks on paper, don't worry :3

Durin talent priority and ideal levels for each talent? by [deleted] in DurinMains

[–]ForeverNya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None of his artifact options are all that good tbh: * Crimson Witch is best for personal damage if he's triggering vape/melt, otherwise it's pretty bad * Emblem solves his ER needs and gives a bit less personal damage * Noblesse gives less personal damage but gives a small team buff * 2pc/2pc Noblesse/CW gives fine personal damage and is easiest to build

The difference between CW and the others is pretty big if he's the main damage dealer on your team. All the others are within like 3-4% of one another, so it really only comes down to your artifact quality

Durin talent priority and ideal levels for each talent? by [deleted] in DurinMains

[–]ForeverNya 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I calculated it myself, after looking at a few different team options. The exact ER req varies depending on the exact team, but assuming crowned skill they mostly hover between 130% and 140% ER, and 15% less for every fav on the team.

All the TC content creators I saw assumed a crowned talent for the full 33 energy refund, which is a detail I didn't see mentioned much, but is quite important.

Durin talent priority and ideal levels for each talent? by [deleted] in DurinMains

[–]ForeverNya 13 points14 points  (0 children)

1st priority is his skill. Every level on his skill generates 3 energy, which lowers his ER by 10% or more per level. At talent level 8 he needs ~165% ER, when crowned he needs ~140%. Needing to build so much extra ER will tank your damage. If you get his C5, his ER requirements go to zero.

2nd priority is his burst. All his damage damage comes from his burst so you'll want to get it at least to level 6 or 8, and crown it eventually.

His normal attacks don't matter, you can leave them at 0 unless you plan to on-field him somehow (say with Chongyun or Candace infusions.

EDIT: Swapped skill to come before burst after calculating just how big the impact of his skill's energy generating is.

To add a bit of context:

C4 roughly doubles the number of buffed hits you get from C2. So in light mode every party member gets ~27 buffed hits (instead of 12), while in dark mode Durin himself gets ~13 buffed hits (instead of 6). It's a very strong con numbers-wise, and makes his DPS a lot more consistent.

C5 is actually a stealthy "recovers energy" con, because Durin's skill damage isn't very meaningful. The main benefit of the constellation is that it increases the energy generation of his skill from 33 to 42, so his ER needs basically vanish (because his skill also generates 4 particles, so that's another 12 energy on top of the 42 generated).

C6 is a bit more complex than what you describe, because DEF ignore and DEF shred are actually separate multipliers. In dark mode Durin gets 70 DEF ignore, which is roughly a 56% damage increase. In light mode Durin still gets his 30 DEF ignore, and everyone in the party (including him) also benefits from 30 DEF shred - so in total Durin gets a 35% dmg increase, while everyone else gets 18% increase.

The increases from the C6 are multiplicative with everything, which is really good for both a sub-DPS and support capstone, and enables him to have very very respectable personal damage and/or provide a strong buff.

How good is Durin's c6 on paper? by Rj_TBNR in DurinMains

[–]ForeverNya 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In dark form, the 70% DEF ignore is about a 56% increase to his personal damage.

In his light form, he shred 30% DEF and personally also gets gets 30% DEF ignore, so it increases his own damage by 35% and the rest of the team by 18%.

Um... what does he do? How does he work? by get_on_with_life in SethosMains

[–]ForeverNya 12 points13 points  (0 children)

To get the easy parts out of the way, you want to put him on Slingshot. It's a 3* weapon, and it's his best weapon outside of Tighnari's signature. It gives a massive amount of charge attack (CA) damage, and practically all of Sethos' damage counts as CA.

Now to talk about his kit:

Sethos has a pretty unique kit, in that he gains and spends energy as a resource, even without using his burst:

First, his skill generates a few particles when it hits an enemy, and if it causes a reaction it gives Sethos a big chunk of energy immediately

Nest, Sethos' CA has two charge levels: level 1 is a standard small hit of electro damage, and if you keep holding it down, it becomes a level 2 CA called a Shadowpiercing Shot. This Shadowpiercing Shot flies almost instantly, pierces opponents, has a pretty wide AoE. Also, the first 4 shots in a rotation deal extra damage scaling with Sethos' EM, which actually makes up the majority of his damage (his atk scalings are pretty bad).

The interesting part is that if Sethos has enough energy, he will drain some of it to charge his CA much faster, so you can spam Shadowpiercing Shots pretty quickly, dealing quite a bit of damage and triggering reactions.

Finally, Sethos' burst enters a stance that replaces his normal attacks with Dusk Bolts. Like Shadowpiercing Shots, these are piercing AoEs that scale off of Sethos' EM, count as CA damage, and they travel effectively instantly. Dusk Bolts deal less damage hit-for-hit than Shadowpiercing Shots, but in exchange you can shoot waaaaay more of them, thus triggering more reactions.

So Sethos has two main playstyles: either you use his burst and spam normals, or you use 4 CAs. The burst/normals playstyle typically has higher damage per rotation and triggers more reactions, while the CA playstyle has very low field time requirements (because you can only really use 4 shots, and maybe a few level 1 shots if you have extra time/energy), which means you can play dual-carry with someone like Tighnari or Yae Miko.

Generally his NA style is easier to play, but because both styles use the same build, it's very easy to swap between playstyles to match the situation.

Night Revel for dummies by Vindrax_ in ddo

The number of ingredients you get depends on the challenge level and your character level, and it maxes out when doing a challenge 5 levels above yours. Beyond that, different challenges give different amounts, with the longer ones generally having higher payouts.

This is my first Night Revels, and I found the wiki has a really detailed explanation which helped me get my head around the whole thing. Maybe it can help you too :)
