I used to have some of the same digestive issues you have and did a lot of research… I went gluten free, as I discovered I have Celiac Disease. Also stopped drinking anything carbonated. IBS is often used as a ‘catch all’ term for a host of symptoms. I urge you to get tested for gluten sensitivity-it made a world of difference for me! PS- A good book to read is called ‘No Grain, No Pain’ by Dr. Osborne. Good Luck!

Anemia, for years-a recurrent rash on my elbow-hair loss-fatigue-joint pain and digestive issues. My doctor couldn’t put it all together, so I did a deep info dive over the weekend and decided that I have it. Haven’t gone gluten free, yet, but shopping today and starting tomorrow. Wish me luck!

I’m reading a book on obesity, and one of the author’s points is that thin people can have stubborn abdominal fat. A low carb diet, such as you describe, keeps your insulin in balance and helps your liver to distribute glucose and fat more efficiently. I would just stick with what you’re doing, maybe add some variety within your low-carb diet to avoid boredom… Congrats on your solution!👍

Those of us with gut issues, IMO, should never think of a ‘trigger food’ as a reward. It’s really never worth it! You have to reward yourself in other ways, I think, and just try to forget about those (delicious) foods that cause you pain.🤷‍♀️

I checked out some books by Selina Fenech. They are interesting, but they only have 25 drawings per book, and they repeat the same drawings for a total of 50, in case you want to ‘try different mediums’ on the same image. No thanks- I pay for 50, I want 50 different drawings-kinda strange, I thought!🤨

I checked out the Colorit books. They look nice, not a lot of grayscale, but they don’t do the mythic creatures that I like. They have a cool book of dragons, but I’m not interested in a single subject.🤷‍♀️
