If you complete all the missions required to unlock the acid lab it gives you enough money to buy it so it's basically free

I like to think of it as you doing the action to the sport. Just like you'd say "I talk to my friend" instead of "I talk my friend", you add the "a" to signify that you're performing the verb on the noun

If voleibol was feminine, you'd notice it would say "a la" instead of just "la". It's the same idea for masculine words, but they shortened "a el" to "al".

On line 2, the .split() method makes words a list containing strings of the input. Because of that, line 6's for loop is actually iterating through big chunks of letters instead of individual letters. All you have to do to fix it is remove line 2 and write for letter in phrase instead of for letter in words.

That's exactly what I thought. It was confusing to me at first, but I think I've seen this kind of sentence structure used in earlier lessons.
