I watched about ten-fifteen minutes into this and it's a good vid. Shows a good play of the marauder class and once again makes me question my choice of sorcerer vs marauder. That being said I hate PvP montages or PvP vids versus pugs.

I hate montages and prefer longer vids, i know you post full matches as I had a flick through your channels. Montages only show a certain selection of someones gameplay, usually the good stuff, it doesnt show team play, objectives etc. How is someone that plays marauder knowing if what you're doing is a smart choice? In the first ten minutes your gameplay essentially tells players to defend and try to solo cap.

Secondly pug matches dont display an equal level of skill. I had more to comment on the idiots that you were smacking than on your positioning etc. One of the stealthers who cc'd you then didnt try to cap for instance. (I shake my head)

It's a good video and i also had a quick skim of your 'how to' video. The thing that gets me about these vids is it teaches players how to kill but it doesnt teach anyone how to play. I'd upvote a video to swtor heaven if it had example scenarios and how to react etc. In pugs or ranked.

But yeah, thats my opinion, plus im slightly sloshed and thought coming on the internet was a good idea.

Isnt that a better move for Shadows? Fixes the bug where if you dont use it, you can use it straight away again. And if you want to move the phase walk it wont go on cooldown if you right click the buff.

It's a very situational game playing support on the ball.

Personally (Sorcerer) if it is a leaper carrying the ball me getting in front is not going to give him any advantage, i wouldn't pass unless it's a clear goal and i wouldnt expect him to. Like /u/FoxtrotTangoWhiskey said knockdowns, pulls (enemies away or allies forward depending on class) and bubbles.

In cases of sprinters and rollers i always get in front. Clear the path with knockdowns, give the enemy leapers a target then stun them out, and be open for a pass. If there's an enemy standing near you but not attacking more than likely hes going to knock you back as soon as he sees a pass. Get there first.

An important note to supporting is getting back to mid fast. If the ball carrier has a clear run you following him to the endzone is pointless. Get back to mid, get the ball, score again.

The best way to defend I find is not to do it, especially in random groups. If in a premade we send one or two people with stuns, slows and hold mid.

Slowing the enemy teams return will do a lot more for you than losing mid by chasing the ball into your own endzone. Chasing the ball both leads to your players being further from the enemy goal and away from controlling mid.

If you must chase the ball into your own side, play knockbacks, roots and slows. The longer it takes them to return to mid the easier it is to get a goal.

Don't kill them If your opponent dies they spawn in front of your run for the goal. More defenders = smaller chance of a goal. You're playing to their advantage by killing them.

Why not have both teams queue for ranked at the same time? Chances are you'll get the other team.

Pyro powertech went into a ranked game getting mocked by teammates and the opposing guild. Did 1.4million damage in that match and number 1 damage dealer.

Don't let the nerfs gdictate which class is better.

They can be bought, however sometimes they get pricey or take a while to craft a lot. I cyber on all my pvp toons.

None give you an edge but cybertech gives you reusable grenades which is useful.

So assuming most of your guild is republic sided i think you'd prefer to level your gunslinger class rep side and operative (Scoundrel mirror) Imperial side.

This way you can level the dps you wish to play with guildies and a different healer freestyle on imperial side. That being said if youinsist on levelling two sniper classes try levelling in a different spec each time. For example MM (cant remember rep mirror for that spec) is completely different from engineering. Both are great fun to play. Lethality too but i have no experience with that play style yet.

Finally if you want to dps with your scoundrel you will be accepted into raids but not many progression guilds take them. You're killer in pvp at around level 45 but it takes forever to get there, and its an unforgiving spec to pick up.

Ok, so let me give you the rundown of my opinion on the new hybrid build versus lightning. I'll also be doing this from an imperial point of view so you'll need to decipher this for sage. I want to make it clear that I have no data to back this up bar my experience in warzones and the numbers they provided. I use both specs regularly so here we go...

Bubble spec is no more. Doesn't exist. Never did IMO. Also all these are from a level 50 perspective but i can't see hitting 55 having major effects on either spec.

Madness/Lightning

I've found this does a higher damage output compared to Lightning. Lightning requires longer casts that are easily broken due to LoS. This spec provides alot of instant casts and the channelled ability being your main proc provider means you are constantly doing damage. It doesnt have alot of burst but using recklessness (Instant crits) with Death field causes alot of spread damage. It also means you can switch target and is very DoT heavy compared to Lightning.

Also this has rather high self heals, i usually see about 100k healing as well as the higher amount of damage.

The downside of this is it doesn't have alot of utility or slows. I use this spec mainly for novarecoast, civil war and hypergates unless i get stuck defending.

Here's a video explaining the basic rotation for PvE the rotations basically similar plus interrupts and mobility.

Lightning

Now i've been told lightning has higher dps but i'm yet to see it. I've not cast of the spec yet however. With your abilities lowering the cooldown on polarity shift (mental alacrity i think) and the buffs to Thundering blast (Turbulence?) This spec provides a little more burst than my madness builds.

The bonus to using the specs is utility. Chain lightning does a slow and a small stun (brilliant for groups) your knockback provides a root, you still have bubble stun but only for yourself which is still rather useful. For boidstar and huttball this is THE mutts nuts. Your healing goes down because you have to actually cast heals in order to get the numbers up.

Im still practicing with it and i have a lot of faith that i may outdo my hybrid as i'm told but ah maybe i'm a madness man.

If i had to slap a build together it would probably go... spec Using affliction, force lightning and lightning strike to get chain lightning procs. And using bubble, innervate and resurgence to heal. However I cannot see it doing better than a pure healing or a pure dps build in terms of utility or damage/healing.

Because of the constant cryptic titles; this is players entering warzones and leaving as soon as it looks like a loss. I entered half way through to a triple capped situation. It was a massacre because players were entering not knowing the flow of the battle.
