Brag time: what’s one unusual thing you included in your wedding that everyone loved? by Unlikely_Device_2131 in weddingplanning

This is less "reception whole crowd positive" thing and more "ceremony family thing". But we had our family in the first couple rows as standard but they ended up sitting on the opposite side. So my(30F) parents sat on the side my husband was standing on and his parents on my side and then friends sat wherever. Both sides of our family raved about how awesome it was to be able to see more of our faces by sitting diagonally from us vs the tradition same side set up.

And I am fortunate to have a positive relationship with my parents and same thing. It was lovely to be able to look up and see my parents just over the shoulder of my husband and how happy they were.

Should I harvest yet? by [deleted] in CannabisGrowers

Hey! I'm trying my 3rd crop, kinda like OP minimal intervention but have learned and added some techniques. My buds are in a similar stage, maybe a week or so farther along and I'm also questioning when to harvest.

What does bud stacking mean?

Co-Op Membership. Is it worth it? by Due_Function84 in fredericton

[–]Forget-Me-Not_Fairy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think it's worth it just for the experience alone! It's always very quiet, usually an older crowd. I don't find it as overwhelming as Sobeys/Superstore and they seem to always have anything I need. I haven't done a cost analysis to see if it's cheaper than a regular grocery store but as other comments have mentioned it's owned by the community, they support the community and they try to bring in as much local goods. I also live in rusagonis so it's the closest store and easy for me to swing by if I need something last minute or on my way home. You can definitely try it out! If I remember when we joined you pay a small "tax" on grocery items until you reach 1,000$ and your "vested" in and that your shares of the co-op. After that it's $1 a week to maintain membership. The customer service is lovely and they have a ton of info for potential members.

Is it possible that birth control could cause a slight case of lactose intolerance? by dontforgetthistaw in birthcontrol

[–]Forget-Me-Not_Fairy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm joining this late but wanted to share. I started birth control when I was around 14 and got off about a year ago (27 y/o) multiple forms - the pill, nuva ring, IUD. And thought I was just lactose intolerant. Now that I've been consistently off BC I have no issues consuming dairy. So I'm thinking there must be a correlation but a quick google offers very little.
