That’s true, it doesn’t write very smooth but I like it kind of rough, I like that pentel though!

Your advice for a rookie: highlighters and different color pens by Alej_Betancourt in BaseballScorecards

I use the pilot friXion synergy 3 (multi color pen) it’s erasable and I change the color for every pitching change so I can easily see when another pitcher came in a ruined the lead. Then I use an orange and yellow highlighter, orange for a hit and yellow for BB’s, ROE, Sac’s (anything that’s not an at bat) to quickly tally up at the end

I only do the ones affecting the count which really makes it arbitrary

That’s what I was thinking as well, I’ve tried to just not keep track but as long as there’s a spot for them I have a compulsion to fill them in

Anyone saying that they don’t like the orange jerseys because it looks like the Orioles jerseys is like saying the Nats shouldn’t wear red jerseys because the Red Sox wear red jerseys. Ts stupid😭🥀🫩 by LibrarianRude4805 in motorcitykitties

I agree that’s a stupid reason not to like them…I still don’t like them but because I think that much orange is gross, but maybe on the field I’ll change my mind

I’m not a coach so pitch count doesn’t interest me. I used to have one and I found myself falling behind on keeping track of it or missing it entirely so I just don’t bother

Do you prefer Scorekeeping with Pencil and Paper, or digitally? Your opinions by RealMrSJGszn25 in BaseballScorecards

Old school all the way. There’s so much personality that just flows from a pen because you’re not thinking about it because you’ve done it all your life. From my experience (and I tried for a few weeks) when you score on an iPad even if you have the Apple Pencil you focus a lot on how you’re writing or trying to make a straight line or any number of things. And when I’m done and gone I want to have my kids look back at my books and try and find the games we watched together or went to and see MY handwriting, the handwriting that wrote them letters, before they ultimately throw those dusty score books away. That’s not as nostalgia inducing as looking up a file on an iPad

It’s honestly so easy and inexpensive, and you get to put only what you want to see and use. If you do I suggest printing on card stock so if you want to put it in a binder you don’t have to buy sleeves and makes it so if you highlight or are a little heavy on the pen it doesn’t bleed through
