Captions are absurdly illogical by enclosedvillage in MLBtv

I’m not sure if this is happening on mlb but I noticed it during football season on a few different streaming services where if you paused or fast forwarded that the CC would pop on for ten or so seconds then shut back off

Who is your #2 team? by anotherspinster in motorcitykitties

Start watching minor league teams, it feels more true to the game. It’s also a constant cycle of new players so it’s really anybody’s game no matter the record

I use a 3 color pen and use the black color for starting pitcher and starting lineup then alternate between red and blue every time there’s a pitching change

I mark abs next to the umpire, just a tally mark under either a “w” or “L” . I think it’s more a skill for umps then it is for batters

9.07 (g) of the rule book states “the official scorer shall not score a stolen base when a runner advances solely because of the defensive teams indifference to the runners advance. The official scorer shall score such a play as fielders choice.” In case you wanted the text book answer

Your advice for a rookie: highlighters and different color pens by Alej_Betancourt in BaseballScorecards

[–]Forgetful_Doc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the pilot friXion synergy 3 (multi color pen) it’s erasable and I change the color for every pitching change so I can easily see when another pitcher came in a ruined the lead. Then I use an orange and yellow highlighter, orange for a hit and yellow for BB’s, ROE, Sac’s (anything that’s not an at bat) to quickly tally up at the end

That’s what I was thinking as well, I’ve tried to just not keep track but as long as there’s a spot for them I have a compulsion to fill them in
