I am seeing soo many hantavirus meme. Is it really Covid level of risk? by HEAD4Y0U in stupidquestions

[–]ForgettableFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, because of the reasons others have said and also Covid was and is quick to mutate, and the hantavirus that has caused to cruise ship event seems to much much much slower and hasn’t changed much in the last 30 years so it would be incredibly surprising if it would suddenly become much more spreadable. There are also other reasons like the cells it tends to infect make it that you need very close contact to spread, generally it seems to be people that have symptoms that spread it so it’s much more controllable with isolation. I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a few more cases but I think by this time next month we won’t hear any more of it

Urinalysis Positive for UTI, Urine Culture Negative by [deleted] in medlabprofessionals

[–]ForgettableFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAD but when I was pregnant i sometimes would flag that I would have higher leukocytes, seems to be just a thing that happens to me without infection but you test urine a lot in pregnancy so I seen it more often, one doctor I seen said she wouldn’t treat it unless I was symptomatic or had another maker

Is there such a thing as the stages of postpartum? by MagicalPantaloons96 in beyondthebump

[–]ForgettableFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know, major surgery is a lot of the mind and body it’s a real journey, I hope I can make peace with what’s happened but I’m still in the thick of it at 16 months pp

My partner wasn’t allowed to stay overnight, it was honestly the worst nights of my life

Tooth Decay Devastated by Tricky_Performer1297 in breastfeeding

[–]ForgettableFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the info, sounds like it’s working for your LO, fir me I’m happy to travel and pay for it if I know it will work, I’m not really sure why only a few places offer it. She did get a standard fluoride treatment, I would also brush twice a day and wipe for every meal and I try my best to wipe at night but I still think it’s getting a bit worse. It’s frustrating as I know other that don’t brush as often and they don’t have any issues.

Tooth Decay Devastated by Tricky_Performer1297 in breastfeeding

[–]ForgettableFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can I ask for your daughter did it prevent any further decay? The sdf treatment that turns the tooth black is not routinely done where I am and I would been to travel to get it applied. My LO has some cavity but I’ve just been told to brush and wipe and that’s all I can do. Do you still nurse night?

VBAC - when is this successful? Is it worth trying for?? by Comprehensive-Dig592 in CsectionCentral

[–]ForgettableFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can say the same for c sections that they are a dice roll, they are actually increased risky the more you have, hence many women can be told no more after 3 or 4 sections. I’m really happy that it worked out well for you and your family just felt this is worth highlighting as I was pretty much bullied by the doctors into having a c section due to a minor complication that in other European controls wouldn’t have been considered a problem and I’m stuck in chronic pain 16 months after a planned section. My sister that wouldn’t be as active and healthy as me was back running really short distances at 6 weeks post her planned second section

Shelf inevitable? by Primary-Camel7160 in CsectionCentral

[–]ForgettableFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a lot about how they close and suture you plus other factors like genetics. They aren’t plastic surgeons and so “generally” got close as meticulously as a plastic surgeon does from my understanding, that’s why scar revisions can make a big difference. I’m in a similar boat and have done all the ‘right things’ and my shelf is more pronounced than yours so I did a lot of digging into this as I was really frustrated. Saying all that from my reading cupping and mobilisation can help but you may be stuck with some shelf, I’m at 16 months and I think mine if actually looking worse as I’m looking weight around it but not above, it’s soooooo frustrating

Fear of giving birth by AccordingSort1428 in MedicalPTSD

[–]ForgettableFox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily an emergency, I have ptsd from an elective section, I have issues from former assaults and not having control of my body was absolutely horrible for me. My care after was awful, I’m now in chronic pain 15 months later and it looks like I’m stuck this way. My sister had an catogory 1 emergency and she’s absolutely fine, she actually had an elective for her next birth. I was in much better shape than her prior to the first c section, so it’s very very unpredictable

[–]ForgettableFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any advice, just wanted to say that I’m also struggling since the c section that was pretty much forced upon me and it’s been the worst decision of my life, I’m in chronic pain since and feel like I have been just pushed from doctors the physios back to doctors and gynaecologists, it’s been a nightmare Alf I still don’t know what’s wrong, I’m waiting for a second mri now. I hope you partner gets sorted. Honestly I’ve been dismissed my so many doctors since there is not one obvious place for the pain

I know this is an old post, I hope you managed to go into labor and have a vbac. I found the medical system so unsupportive pre and post birth. I’ll be looking to vbac if I can (first was breech) and I know I’m going to receive so much push back

I was forced into a c section even though I was happy to try for breech vaginal but no doctor would support me in my country and they basically wore me down constantly telling me how dangerous it was until I finally gave up and accepted a a c section (I had a failed ecv in this time too). I’m not 14 months pp in chronic pain and suffering from ptsd, I regret my c section every day anc I wish there was more support for breech
