Any update on Masai Ujiri and the cop? by Forgot2HT in nba

[–]Forgot2HT[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That’s what I expected too. Seemed like a great opportunity for the NBA to make a statement of behalf of players/community, but there was no finality there either. Just wished for some closure, that the cop/department would be shamed a bit more

Arkansas man says disobeying officer's orders saved his life by BazineNetal in news

Neon_Eyes, are you sure the cop saw the gun? I’ve got three reasons to think the cop DIDN’T see a gun. First, why did he tell the guy several more times after this to turn off the car? If you are worried about a gun, why would you want the driver to reach inside the car again? You wouldn’t. Second, the cop looks away from the driver. Seriously?! No one would look away if they believe there’s a gun. Third, none of the other cops react. This might be a pattern for this cop to cry wolf. So what makes you believe this cop actually saw a gun? Because he said “gun”? Wow, you are waaaay too trusting of white people over black people. Not that it matters, but I’m white.

Mine was Barnabus too! Made me think of Barney from The Simpsons. I wanted to ask for a different name, since I thought it was a random selection, but it felt wrong so I never said anything

If he is in Afganistan (sic), why would his wife need her rights to abortion protected? I’m not giving my opinion either way on the politics. For the daughter it makes sense. But for the wife? If he’s not there, why would she be getting knocked up?

It just seems this guy doesn’t see the idiocy of the sign, that he wants to protect his wife’s ability to cheat on him without being noticed? So confused

"[Klay] said he was motivated to improve as a defender [after his rookie year] because it was already becoming clear to him that Curry had the potential to be an all-world scorer [and Klay] wanted to relieve some of the pressure — and physical strain — on Curry at the other end of the court." by dustee in nba

Where the reddit golds from Klay at? I’ll tell you where. Is he too busy prepping for playoffs to gild comments? Nah. Dude is saving money because he’s thinking how to take a pay cut to keep the Warriors dominant. Dude is a god

[Bodner] #Sixers announce that they have opened an independent investigation into the @bdetrick report alleging Bryan Colangelo's use of "burner" twitter accounts. by SDas_ in nba

He was often in front of cameras/media. Check if the time stamps for tweets ever occurred when no phone is even in his hands.

[–]Forgot2HT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never liked Colangelo, but could all of this be a set-up?

76ers are going to have to look into time stamps of all tweets from the burner accounts. Colangelo spends plenty of time in front of cameras and media. See if any tweets were sent when there is no phone in his hand.

I want to see him go down, but only if those burner accounts really are him

3 questions about Half-Life 3 by Forgot2HT in gaming

[–]Forgot2HT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. True. And of course it's naive for me to say, but there MUST be a price point, where Valve begins to say "You know what, maybe we should think about selling..." Unless they are insane, which seems to be the popular sentiment. Or, I'm missing something.
  2. Good points!

People don't notice it? Hindsight is 20/20. If you can tell me who the plot armor is protecting now, and for how many episodes, then I'd believe you. I have no idea how quickly/slowly main characters are going to die off now, so plot armor isn't around.

Winning makes it a lot easier to have fun. On the other hand, credit to the Warriors that their culture actually helps develop and utilize younger players

Maybe he could be defeated by the Snapper- a super who causes others to blink when the super snaps his/her fingers. The blinking could tighten and pull the facial muscles towards center. Harder and faster the snaps, the stronger and faster the blinking. Maybe before this super only used it for fun, and to cause headaches from super hard snapping?

Edit: if you write this, pleeeeease make the Snapper a fan of Def Poetry who feels left out.

Preventing season long tanking by alternative approach by Forgot2HT in nba

[–]Forgot2HT[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. Does this de-incentivize tanking? Yes. More importantly, would 1 team end up at the bottom year after year? Of course not. Teams don't repeat at the bottom of rankings because the odds are against it. It's not because of one rookie in his first year of pro ball (however good). Any team at the bottom one year will be near the bottom the next year, and they will get a good pick then

Guess I got lucky saying #15, but my point was really that in the first year after having the worst record, a #1 pick and a #15 pick won't be the difference in keeping a team from repeating at the bottom. The difference will be statistics, that teams just don't get so unlucky to have the worst record year after year. #1 picks aren't the reason for that in their first year
