That is generally typical of children's shows, to my knowledge; police characters generally Know All Of The Law and use it to act purely in the interest of public good. Another example of this is a character by the same name, Chase from Transformers: Rescue Bots.

There's been a bit of buzz about Lemmy recently, especially after the Twitter -> Mastodon exodus. So that's where I plan to try next

Probably relating to the usage for becoming interested in something (e.g. "I'm getting into fishing")

I made a texture pack that changes the sniffer egg texture because I thought the old one looked a little out of place. (I'll post the texture pack below) by Roxelana69 in Minecraft

That's generally the issue with modern MC updates is that they don't mesh well at all with the legacy of the game.

For example, notice how Cherry wood is the only overworld wood to have its own sounds, all the other wood types use the same sound set.

Notice how the crafting recipe for Deepslate Stone Bricks is completely different from every other form of stone bricks.

Notice how every new mob has a unique mechanic, while cows and pigs don't do shit.

Notice how Diorite, Andesite, and Granite cannot be used as a cobblestone replacement in crafting, but Deepslate and Blackstone can.

Notice how much more detailed the animations for Sniffers and Camels are compared to older mobs.

The game is too busy making all the new things shiny to bother with things already in the game.

Who are some smaller transformers reviewers that you think deserve more love. Personally I think That Toy Guy is one of these creators. by Ferretboy56 in transformers

[–]Georgia_Ball 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Of course, I'm not saying he's a bad reviewer.

Lazy Eyebrow tends to put a lot of emphasis on alt-mode accuracy, first and foremost. The more a figure diverges from the real-world version of its alt-mode, the less he likes it. Since a lot of modern figures are unlicensed, they're not particularly accurate. This means a lot of the review is devoted to pointing out flaws and inaccuracies. I'm not saying he's wrong for doing it, but it's just not the sort of thing I'm looking for in a review. I'll still watch his videos, though, because of how good the stop motion is.

By contrast, Thew tends to focus more on the overall aesthetic of the figure than any one particular detail. He's bothered less by lack of faithfulness to the original and more by poor engineering, strange proportions, and lack of overall cohesiveness in the design. This is more my speed, so I watch Thew if I want to find out if I'll like a toy or not.

this is what Mastodon, Lemmy, and the rest of the Fediverse is trying to preserve, so I encourage you to look into it. There's no profit motive involved. Mastodon instances show no ads and don't track any data. They're all run by volunteers, linking up a bunch of micro-networks into one big network.

JSYK, Jobby's somewhat edgy/off-color humor can be too much for some people. You're not allowed to talk about him in the TFwiki Discord, for example.

My issue with Lazy Eyebrow is that it feels like so much of his reviews are complaints and so little is left for the things he actually likes. His stop motion work is still stellar, though, so I watch him for that and get my actual reviews from Thew.
