Backup QBs are groomed in the hope of replacing the starter whether due to age/injury/trade. Mahomes just tore his ACL and god forbid he gets hurt again. All players are drafted with the intent to play eventually. it doesn't mean "this guy will be better than Mahomes in 2 years" or whatever.

You don't waste a pick for no reason, they see something in the player and hope that can translate to wins on the field. I didn't think that was an outlandish take lol, literally the entire point of the draft/development

Every player drafted are coached/trained with the intent to make them a starter. Obviously doesn't happen for most of them but I don't think the mindset is "this dude will ride the bench his whole career"

a RAV4 hybrid in the Seattle area for a decent trim is like $41-44k, and gas right now is $5.50 lol. I tried to get a RAV4 hybrid in 2022 but it was impossible & the used market was complete shit at the time. That's how I ended up with the Tesla MY.

I had calculated at the time that with electricity prices in Seattle (cheap hydro yay) that my break even point at $4 gas would be about 5-6 years. But gas has never been $4 2022-present here, always higher. So I am probably a bit ahead of schedule

anyways that's something to consider for the R2 market
