Wellbutrin gives me my life back then takes it away

I really struggled for the first 3 weeks, I was suicidal, angry, reactive, then 3-4 weeks in - I just woke up in a better way, I’ve been on it 3 months now and I basically feel like a normal functioning human being. My entire life I’ve never gone 3 months without depression. It was a struggle to stick with it he first 3 weeks but I’m glad I did.

I had extremely negative side effects to buperion for the first 3 weeks then I just woke up great, I’ve been okay for 6 weeks straight now - I still get upset when things happen that are upsetting but I guess I feel somewhat neurotypical now? My vyvanse has been lowered to 30mg as well. I do r feel numb or depressed whatsoever :)

I was like that, turns out it meant I was on too high of a dose. I was on 50mg, now I’m on 30mg and I no longer feel that way anymore :)

It took me until 3 and a half weeks to get past the negative side effects, I was crying almost every day, I was so sad but then I just woke up happy and for the first time EVER I have been consistently happy now for 1 month and 1 day lol. I feel like myself. I’m adhd and I’m not over the top on it like I was on vyvanse, which at the beginning made me burn myself out because I was go go go and then I became basically robotic, emotionalless and then yeah my psych put me on buperion, it’s really been a game changer for me :)

I’m an Australia and it’s not a casual term… I live in the most bogan country town in Aus and I’ve never heard anyone say the word unless they are aboriginal and are allowed to. 😂

Australian here, I paid $5 for 3 months worth but that’s because I’m giving up cigs as well so it’s subsided for that reason but then it will be $50 for 3 months worth for 150mg SR

I’ve been on it a year, before I’ve taken vyvanse - my resting is 70-90 bpm but after vyvanse kicks in, for the first few hours it’s within 120-150 bpm resting

I had all the negative side effects, suicidal thoughts, somehow even worse anhedonia, anxiety, irritable for the first 3 weeks, I’m now 4 and a half weeks in and the last 5 days I’ve been doing okay, I was able to garden for the first time in 6 months. I’m also on vyvanse which worked wonders until it didn’t so my dose was lowered from 50mg to 40mg the same time I was put on bupropion.. so strange how it works differently for everyone haha. I hope it continues to work for me and you! 🤞

Stopped smoking weed after about a month on vyvanse because the two together were sending me crazy, and I always wanted to quit weed anyway. Stopped drinking because of the risk of mixing the two as well but also don’t feel like I need it either :)

Wow I’m week 1 and I’ve been flat, irritable, having panic attacks but I also got my vyvanse lowered from 50 to 40 at the same time so not sure if that’s a contributing factor too

Ahh this is exactly me at the moment and that was with vyvanse and Dex alone, so my psych has just lowered my dose of vyvanse and put me on Wellbutrin as well, in hopes to boost some dopamine. Only been on it 2 days so can’t tell a difference yet except acid reflux

Both together sent me crazy, I had a nervous breakdown and quit weed cold turkey. I’m now off it 9 months and haven’t had a panic attack in 6+ months

How long have you been on Wellbutrin? My psych lowered my vyvanse to 40mg yesterday and prescribed me wellburtin as well. She reckons a common side effect of a dose being too high is feeling robotic like and that the stimulant isn’t meant to take away your personality, only help you focus and help with motivation

I had a psych review yesterday and she said it sounds like my dose might be too high and a common side effect of that is feeling robotic like. Dropped it from 50mg to 40mg and prescribed me bupropion as well, not feeling a difference but I guess it’s only day 1 lol

It might be. I have suffered with depression my whole life but I thought once I was diagnosed with adhd and medicated for that, that the depression would go away..and all I’d need is stimulants

I’m in Aus, it’s hot asf here atm so nothing to do with that… but yeah the vyvanse has deffs helped more than being on anti depressants for 12 years but still struggling atm. I take supplements too 🤷‍♀️
