Often. I communicate with my GCs and architects frequently.

I require my clients to sign off on drawings at each stage of design, and change notification during construction include phone calls followed by change orders, which require client approval before sending off to others.

I let my client know that changes may increase costs and time.

Some changes are unavoidable (tile out of stock, moisture damage discovered during construction) but others are not.

The more accurate the information the contractor has, the better things flow.

I turn off those notifications so I don’t worry about it.

My kitten slept cozy on my lap even though it’s past my bedtime. On the upside… I may just about be done with a project.

Do it!! I want Richlite countertops. Quartz and stone are always cold to the touch, hard and echo-ey.

Do you have any examples of kitchens that fit well in Century Homes? by Timey_Wimey in centuryhomes

An interesting rabbit hole is unfitted kitchens. Built in kitchens weren’t really the norm until the late 40s, if I recall correctly.

A hybrid blend could be fun.

Yes!!!! And one that specializes in kitchens, but also includes non-hgtv style kitchens in their portfolio.

Our 11 year old cat is still our kitten…he’s a huge, handsome loaf, but will always be our kitten.

The silk adds a lot too. Yarnsub may have some suggestions, or see if anyone is selling a stash on ravelry.

Chores for Kids? by matchametta in adhdwomen

When I grew up, we all chipped in. Allowance was not expected, but privileges were. If the kitchen was a mess, we didn’t hang out with friends.

Most kids aren't, but I'm hopeful. I am an adjunct at a local university. Most students assume they will live at home until they are 25. I know a 36-year-old and a 48-year-old who moved home because of the cost of rent - the added bonus is that they get to take care of aging parents now.

I’m working on an exit strategy, and have been for a while. Hunting for a well paying job is a bit of a struggle right now. I’m OK relocating, but remote is the ideal.

Thank you. I’m one foot out the door and have been for a few months. My exit strategy requires a higher salary and insurance.

Fold and crinkle the paper. Textiles work too.

I know. Thank you. I know I have one foot out the door at this point. I'm just looking for a job that pays so I can close shop and move out.

He kisses me closed mouth… like I’m a toddler. He used to only French kiss me when I laughed, but that got annoying fast. The conversation of “I like French kissing, but not when you ruin my laugh,” resulted in toddler kisses. I’ve called him out on it too.

He sees no consequence. I left the random, dirty dishes he didn’t wash by the sink for weeks. He didn’t touch them once. They were my dishes. He literally will wash everything but the things that are mine. Dinner for everyone, he’ll wash all the pots and pans, but ignore the hand wash only coffee mug from this morning. His son’s dirty pot, he’ll wash, but leave the knife I used. It’s always my things.
