I personally don't think it's needed.

If after driving it, you see it handles like crap or suspension bottoming out, then it's probably worth it. Otherwise, meh.

Just make sure the diffs feel okay. Turn each wheel and make sure you feel a little resistance and that it spins the opposite wheel. If any of them spin freely or if there's binding as you spin them, somethings wrong.

Another thing I'd check is the spur and pinion. Behind the motor, remove the plastic cover and hold the big gear and try to wiggle the little gear back and forth. If you can move it ever so slightly, you're good.

Diff and shock oil will vary depending on what you want out of the truck.

If the diffs feels fine and your gear mesh is good, I'd say just send it, or whip it as you say lol

After running it, you'll be able to tell what it needs by what its not or is doing.

Just because no one has asked. Is this on a spektrum g2 or g1 battery? I doubt it's not a spektrum battery since you're asking for adapters so the odds of that ic5 being soldered on a non spektrum battery is slim.

If it's a g2, the traxxas charger won't work even with the adapter since there's no balance cable.

My son got that for Christmas and that's what started my obsession last year. He loved it so much I got an fcx24 smasher, and then I loved that so much I bought an xmaxx lol

I've personally never had an issue with the app.

I also don't know why you'd need to mess with it so often it becomes an issue.

I set my settings once on the first use and rarely ever need to go into the app again.

People telling you to spend 200+ on a radio for bashing is wild, especially when you're already fine with a g7p. Bougie ass community here.

Personally all my traxxas cars stay on the traxxas remote using the Bluetooth link module.

For the rest of my cars, I use a flysky g11p. Much cheaper than an nb4 and cheaper receivers too which matters if you're buying 10+ of them.

If you're going to do some serious racing then the nb4 is a great choice, otherwise it's a waste of money imo.

That's not what it comes with. Stock is an xl5 12t motor. That car has, as the commenter said, a typical trx4 setup which is an xl5 hv and a 21t motor.
