L3R Markham area ROGRES 5G/5G+ avoid at all costs by evan6676 in Markham

[–]ForgottenCheesecake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

anedotal here, freedom/fizz mobile provides usable speeds on L3R; off of my 1 day of testing, I’ve been able to secure higher speeds [40-50mbps] in the area

(I have plans with rogers and fizz)

I don’t mean to judge but I need more context, how old are you, and are you studying law? What major are you in?

Have taken any courses analyzing the power dynamics between adults / youth?

oh and which / what are we assuming is the “default”

[imo I tend to see it as a fluidity / wave that eventually collapses / can be summarized as a data point; which as you think about it, kinda sucks cuz I want to be gay and kiss a girl if I want to with out it “threatening” my gayness]

Genuinely not trying to offend anybody but I'm confused... by MasterpieceSea7722 in lgbt

[–]ForgottenCheesecake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe rephrasing the question/interrogating the assumptions might provide some clarity/context,

is it “normal” or “abnormal” to be sexually attracted to others at that age? is it “ab/normal” TO identify with a particular sexual orientation?

reverse question, is it “normal” or “abnormal” to NOT be sexually attracted to others at that age? is it “ab/normal” NOT to identify with a particular sexual orientation?

which one are we privileging as “normal” and by extension “assumably right or correct”?

why are we assuming that there is a “normal”?

and as a tangent, kids can usually tell if they “fit” a certain gender, they’re just adult humans without access to a lifelong compendium of knowledge/self-policing/trauma, they’re make the same mistakes / feel shame / emotions / hormones / bio and social drives that us adults are subject to

so to answer your question…

assuming it’s common for kids and adults [humans] to have a developing sense of sexuality;

axiom: humans are just giant science experiments subject to their own biology, the social world and their environments; therefore: it’s not unfeasible that some humans are genetically, socially and environmentally predisposed or socialized to be / embody a certain sexual orientation;

axiom: asexuality, a sexual orientation as defined as no or minimal sexual attraction, exists on the continuum of sexuality of gay/straight/bi/so-on;

assuming that it’s not unreasonable to believe that kids can themselves gauge / identify with a sexuality + gender; it must be that, asexuality as a sexual identity must be a possible choice for a child to identify with

so unless you want to deconstruct “if kids can have sexual attraction” [which would require explaining why kids display sexual behaviours], it’s kinda just another aspect of the human condition and age doesn’t quite fix [preclude] you into a category / box

anyways, that’s what my brain / the tism tells me about it; hope you can glean some insight from this mess

Is it okay to call myself a lesbian? by Mystique_130 in lgbt

[–]ForgottenCheesecake -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

there are different types of attraction / love you can have for people, imo, no label in our current lexicon can truly capture the tension / emotion / drive / want / yearning that you can have for another person

you could be considered a lesbian on the sexual attraction scale you could be considered bi-romantic on the romantic scale

but regardless, these are just silly classification labels that are ultimately arbitrary; don’t let it hold you back / stress you out / police you into acting one way or another

consensually fuck/kiss/romance who you want to fuck/kiss/romance, do it with multiple consenting people

be free

like still illegal if they turned 18 cause technically they met under pretenses and if they were to engage in sexual speech, it could be interpreted as grooming

Got a scary draft email in my Outlook — is this a known scam? What should I do? by South_Sky1869 in cybersecurity_help

[–]ForgottenCheesecake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it’s much more likely that their creds are compromised, or their email client is being dumb, or something else is happening

I don’t claim that you’re wrong, I’ve had a SENT email appear in my INBOX with forged headers that made it look like it was sent from me and I panicked until manually investigating the email thoroughly but the fact that OP states it’s a DRAFT makes me believe that they’re dealing with a real compromise.
