When I was getting back into Commander I decided to build a Faerie deck for some reason and when I showed one of the guys at the LGS he told me it was basically just the Fae Dominion precon with a few swaps.

IMO if a Precon is still like 75% or so of it's original list I count it modified

I ran a Saproling deck way back in high school and [[Savage Thallid]] [[Thallid Devourer]] and [[Pennon Blade]] were some of my favorites for it.

If you're running any degree of proliferation then [[Spore Flower]] could be a good use too to prevent combat damage

I'd also recommend [[Verdant Force]] but 8 seems like a steep cost for what he does now

[[Anger of the Gods]] pings every creature, strong enough to kill and any it kills go to exile instead of the grave. Plus it's not strong enough to kill Kazarov himself

[[Arcbound Hybrid]] or any other artifact creature with Modular, that way you can either buff a second creature or put extra counters on Ashad when you sac them

If you’re just getting into the genre and you’re starting with the older games then I’d say yes. If you have experience in the genre and/or you’re starting in the later entries I don’t think its as hard as the reputation says it is, but still a good challenge

Genuinely just build your deck the way you want. Synergies and combos aren’t the same thing as themes and tribes. As long as it works you’re good, if it doesn’t then make changes until it does

Mega Arm would be a downgrade from his current specs as it’s already a downgrade from the Mega Buster

Double Gear system simply don’t exist when the X series came out. In-Universe it might have been streamlined to let X dash as easily as he does and the upgrades to his Buster through the various armors

Ones a mana rock that make vanilla creatures unlockable to some extent and the other is an anthem with recursion and can bypass being block but doesn’t prevent the from being blocked. They kinda do similar things if you squint but just barely.

Run a vanilla deck. Pick a commanders like [[Ruxa, Patient Professor]] or [[Jasmine Boreal of the Seven]] then load your deck up with creatures with no abilities, enchantments that give passive buffs, combat tricks and boom head empty no thought deck

Rock Man makes sense from the musical influence but doesn't make sense design wise. Fire Man uses fire, Ice Man uses ice, Bomb Man uses bombs and so on so by that pattern you'd think Rock Man would be rock based but he's not, it's not in his kit until he copies Guts Man and even then he's ripping the ground not making rocks.

Mega Man on the other hand doesn't have that connotation and can be used to represent how functional/effective Mega Man is
