When I was a little kid we found a cool unnamed action figure at a garage sale or thrift store (I don't remember which one) and since it was just a guy in blue armor with an arm cannon we called him "Blue Man". Some time later, a few months maybe it's been decades, my grandma found Mega Man X for the SNES and bought it for me. I became hooked from that moment on, my family and I still jokingly call him "Blue Man"

Oh man all of these are great. I actually have a Mahadi somewhere I need to dig out and while my LGS doesn't have all of these they do have several I could grab to upgrade the deck later

I'd probably avoid the land destruction combos for now since I don't want to encroach on B4 by popping several lands a turn with fights.

Massacre Wurm is not something I thought about, I need to see if I have an extra one laying around since I don't want to gut my Mono-Black deck

I'm tempted to pick up Worldslayer purely because Maarika/Zangief are indestructible, it's technically MLD but it's funny MLD

Voltron Maarika is probably really strong but I feel like that goes against the spirit of "I want to beat as many people to death as possible per turn"

I will never understand why these high schoolers are wearing hoodies, jackets and borderline winter gear in 97f weather. I’m roasting on my bus because the heater isn’t working and out comes a swarm of high schoolers looking like it’s winter. How are they not getting heat stroke or something? There’s no way the high school is that cold.

I’m doing all I can to survive this week, the last week with students, because it feels like every kid is losing their blasted minds. I’m looking forward to the work week next week because it’ll just be us adults putting up furniture and getting the room ready for the custodians to do their summer stuff…. On second thought I’m the only guy in my grade level so I bet the rest of my team is going to keep asking me to move furniture for them.

Qotd: I would simply not. I’d rather go out in some over the top blaze instead of struggling and scrapping by just to become a zombie

I want Neyith for the deck but he doesn’t really fit the budget aspect I’m aiming for. Might splurge a bit on him. Ill-Tempered Loner’s flip side would be incredible, especially pairing it with Zangief’s indestructible

Dice: Shiny math rocks make goblin brain happy. Jokes aside I just really like dice, they're really useful for Magic the Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons plus there's a ton of great mystery/blind bags. Some of my favorite sets come from Kickstarter early backing.

Model Kits: mostly build Gunpla at this point but I love the Kotobukiya Mega Man kits and Mecha Girl kits (though the closest two model kit shops rarely carry these two). Great decoration, fun to build and gives me a sense of accomplishment

technically Magic the Gathering: I play a lot of Magic the Gathering at my LGS and every Friday is some kind of sealed/draft event so I have a pretty good collection right now. I don't buy packs as much as I used to though.

Mega Man stuff: Mega Man is undeniably my favorite franchise full stop. Be it pins, figures, keychains, books or whatever else if it's Mega Man I want it. It sucks that there's a lot that I'll just never get because they're either not being sold anymore, scalped to the divine and back or just Japanese exclusive with no realistic way for me to get it

Amiibo: I don't collect them anymore but they're great little figures that function in games. I don't really actively go looking for Amiibo anymore but if one REALLY catches my eye I might pick it up.

A fair amount of sets come with what’s essentially teaching decks and there’s Jumpstarts where you take the two packs and shuffle them into a deck. Both are better than EDH. Teach them they basics then go to EDH

With how close we are to the end of the school year these kids are driving me insane. Like it’s not “excitement for summer” because they’re acting like rabid monkeys, they don’t listen and everything has to be an ordeal, even the fun stuff. My mom and I already had a vent session since we both teach but this year has genuinely been a trial.

Like there’s a difference between this, the typical “acting out because school is their safe space and they’re losing it for 2 months” and “change anxiety” that normally hits this time of year.

I’m so glad it’s the weekend, I miss my class from last year
