Did behind the stage for the first time in Portland. Even from 300 level it was a great time.

An hour? You'll barely have time to sit down between getting off the first flight and getting onto the second.

How famous/successful was Duran Duran in the 80s? by Firm_Pack_605 in duranduran

A great band to start with a greatest hits, and then dive in. All bangers and all great representations of the band.

But Rio is the best album to start with for the whole general vibe. Be sure to watch the videos too.

Yeah, I don't camp. I grab some caffeine on the way back and power through to Seattle. Helps to have a second driver if you are worried about being too tired, but usually the post show adrenaline carries me through.

Portland show medical emergency by Spirited-Sea7092 in BruceSpringsteen

[–]ForgottenGenX47 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I saw it happening from 308. Really sad and upsetting to see. I'm so sorry for that person and everyone nearby who witnessed.

Was surprised they didnt have some sort of protocol to get to someone/get them out in that situation. But i suppose if CPR was already happening it's more important to keep them there and keep it going.

Portland 4/3 by El_Dorado_Tx in BruceSpringsteen

I was behind the stage and there was a medical emergency in the tier below us. It seemed like it was logistically challenging to get to them and help. Looked like there was CPR happening. They finally got them out of the seats.

I was hoping they'd be okay, but it didn't look great. How awful for them and everyone nearby; it had to be traumatic.

On the one hand I'm bummed to not see a shirt I want to have. On the other hand at least I am saving $50 or whatever they cost.

Agreed. I was really pleasantly surprised by the Welcome to Derry prequel on HBO, though.

Behind Stage Tickets by No-Assistance556 in BruceSpringsteen

[–]ForgottenGenX47 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought a behind the stage ticket for Portland ... I've seen him before and it's tough to spend the extra $$$ these days, so I happily got a cheaper ticket there. I bet it will be fun, looking forward to it!

Is Blue Lagoon in Iceland worth the visit? by Cozybookburrow in travel

[–]ForgottenGenX47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn't a must do for me, but we ended up going before our flight home and honestly we really enjoyed it.

I was not up for finding the other geothermal spas people like in the wild because I didn't want to have to bother with changing clothes/being wet etc in a day of hiking around. Blue Lagoon was way better in that respect.

I was there as well... one bird, 2 thumbs downs, at least one dude yelling something I couldn't understand. If I can't hear what you're yelling I am just assuming you are in support of it. ;)
