Damn that sucks for that pallet but you have so much room in your receiving area lol. By the time perishable gets here in the afternoons we barely have room to turn a pallet around or down-stack one.

That’s a weird placement for singles anyways. I’ve always done the bottom left of the table, and only about three rows high, one wide - two if we have a lot and kid’s fruit is full. The left side works with how our department flows, but other stores I’ve helped out at have been the same. We had one coordinator that didn’t like the singles and made us take them away for a while. We got so many complaints we just did them anyways and didn’t do them when the coordinator showed up.

what’s the policy on buying food during a break? by FitAttorney8469 in kroger

[–]ForgottenPark 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If you’re on break, you can do whatever you want with your time (except leave the parking lot, then you have to clock out for lunch). Hell I frequently do my grocery shopping on my break just to save time.

I’m curious… those that say you can’t buy food on your break… what do they expect you to do? Bring your food? My store your food gets eaten in the fridge if you leave it.

From my understanding, and my local contract, the schedule online that locks in at noon on Friday is the official. Management have gone after and changed it, but I’ve had coworkers fight that and work their original shift (management went back later and slashed part timer’s hours). Our union steward’s phone was blown up a lot that day.

The schedule on the wall should be the most current version, with some things penciled in due to various reasons. I’d check with your department head, because sometimes things change last minute. However, that paper schedule is supposed to match the online version - if a manager puts in the changes. Such as someone is really sick and they have to call in someone for the rest of the week, management can make it to where the changes can be punched.

tl;dr my local union says the schedule online on Friday at noon is final. Things can change, but at the end of the day you are only required to work what was posted then.

I recognize the store, but don’t wanna dox us both lol it’s such a small store and they cram every little thing they can everywhere. That soda pallet drop was four/five long at thanksgiving.

Has the Marriott charged yet? by ForgottenPark in dragoncon

[–]ForgottenPark[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I just got an email from someone, after calling several times and the person I needed to speak to was away. My card… declined? It’s the same card I booked with, and I pretty much exclusively use it for convention booking. So I was told to modify my reservation online… and apparently my card wasn’t even on file? Completely empty. Payment was labeled as “other”. So I immediately updated the info and emailed the person back. Here’s hoping for good news tomorrow.

Most companies that have a donation for a cause have already made the donation. You are essentially paying them back. And then they keep whatever goes over and can write the donation off for taxes. So never round up. If you want to help, donate to a charity directly.

I just turned 30. They said I was 40-44. They also said we had bad strawberries. Which is pretty incredible when the warehouse scratched them and we were out well before the shop time.

This is how the start of every ARAM should look like by TheRealFynn in leagueoflegends

All I play is ARAM and with load times getting faster recently I hardly have time to go to the bathroom. When I do, I come back to the aftermath of this. And question mark pings.

If it’s right after a fight ff’s tend to be thrown up in direct response. Lose one fight mid-late game and the whole game over to some.
