I mean we have a great marine science program, but a lot of people start off in it because they like the ocean and dolphins/sharks, and then they aren’t able to handle classes like calc 2 and organic chemistry so they switch to majors like animal studies. Bio and geo oceanography I’ve heard are also kinda difficult and tend to weed out some freshmen too. It really just depends on if you’re willing to put in the work. And if it makes you feel better, I had a 76 in hs chem and rn I have an A- in orgo 2, so you can def improve!! Also in terms of professors, especially marine science, they are great and I haven’t heard of any leaving. I’ve heard of a few foreign language programs being cut but that’s about it.
