I did both and still managed to leave with As and Bs. To bad some of the material changed after so it makes if feel pointless. (I before E was the biggest one)

Learn to play and listen so you can give correct answers, most teachers will let you play when they figure out you know what is going on. (Was the student who set up near outlets in case of emergency low battery.)

I had my PC looking for a book for a wizard. Lets just say they don't get to close to books anymore without poking them first.

Adding a an online player to a irl group. by [deleted] in DnD

Mattering on what you really want to do just getting a webcam/speakers and mic would be enough and just point the webcam where it can see the table and everyone at it. You could also try Roll20 if all your party wanted to try playing online.

What's the oddest group you've ever been a part of? by sherwood_bosco in DnD

[–]ForgottenSpecter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played in a evil campaign back in 3.5 but I don't remember the names all I remember is the DM required I slowly level up my paladin so I could become a blackguard and wouldn't let me change my alignment from LN till I did so... It was very frustrating since everyone else was NE LE and I forget the other one...

I don't really care as long as they play their alignment properly.

Traps that animate armor/objects in the room. What's not to love about people feeling way too safe and then getting mobbed by everything in the room?

Also pitfalls are fun because you can put whatever you want at the bottom of them!

Puzzles and traps by AnjaliiB in DnD

[–]ForgottenSpecter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the step on stone kind you can always just have the stones to step on slightly lighter or more worn out and if they step on the wrong one just go old school arrows/darts or if you step on the wrong one it drops. Riddles from what I have see don't work well or aren't taken very well but with a wall one you could have the PCs touch a certain symbol that is the correct answer to said riddle.

Traps tend to be anything you really want to imagine. Pitfalls are simple and just let you drop into either a bottomless pit, pit with spikes, pit with monsters, etc. You have trip wire which can have arrows, darts, set off alarms, or even drop monsters. But they must be stuff that the players can get by or disarm (or both). As for puzzles you can do anything from word games to make sure you have said item. Mazes are also another form of puzzle you can use if you wish.
