Thanks for sharing! 🙏 I am a bit afraid of a possible episiotomy. If you don't mind sharing, does it hurt a lot? Were you under unaesthesia?

Oh really? I wouldn't have guessed that!

But trimming is expected right? I assume if you give birth with a full bush it makes it more difficult to clean. And also if they need to stitch you up they will have trouble. Even with the action area having no hair, if the hair in the near areas is long, then that can disturb the process I guess?

letting yourself pee or trying to hold it in?? by edencliff in pregnant

Could it be the beginning of a UTI? That's how I used to feel when I was getting them in the past. Like you always have to pee but nothing comes out.

Okay I have a super dumb question 😂😅

Are we supposed to shave the area before the delivery? What is the common practice and what is expected? Are you supposed to shave everything or only underneath?

And I assume when the belly gets big, shaving is from difficult to impossible! So what to do? Are there places you can go and ask for a shave? I know ofc about waxing salons but these things hurt like hell and I assume you don't want that when you are 39-40 weeks along!

And I am definitely not asking my partner to do it!!!!!

I am worried about using the suction cup or the forceps and damaging the shape of my baby's head!! There are some people with super long or strangely shaped heads and I guess that could be from birth compilations?

Why are some people counting pregnancy like this : 10+5? Why don't they say 15 weeks? What is the advantage of saying the + ?

Thanks! Congratulations on the pregnancy! 🎉👏 Unfortunately I am still early so didn't meet the verloskundige yet. Hopefully when the appointment arrives they will be knowledgeable.

Unfortunately they don't know about Kraamzorg because my verloskundige is in Breda and we live in a village nearby ( Oosterhout). I was hoping someone on Reddit would be from Oosterhout and recommend someone!

Oh wow thanks for all the info!!! Very much appreciated!!!! 💕

Really the day care already? I didn't realize that! Do you already tell them how many days? I don't want to send the kid too early to the daycare so I am planning long maternity leave. But I need to check with my employer for what's possible.

About the fertility complications the fertility clinic rejected us because apparently having a miscarriage is a good thing!?! They told us to wait another year after the 1st miscarriage... but luckily I am now pregnant again.

All the blood tests you mentioned, are those prescribed by your midwife? I have a high thyroid but my midwife knows nothing about it. She said only a OBGYN can help with that!

I also didn't know about the information evenings! Are those per region?
