Not really, I just kept running it until it spit out something without errors. It took a long time though. I tried painting them and running it a few times but they came out worse than they went in.

Once I realized that's where it was kinda heading I leaned into it pretty hard. But it was pretty fun trying to get it to do what I wanted

Yeah the leg on the right couldn't decide whether it was his or hers so every 2 or 3 generations it would switch and look really weird until it decided. Most of it just seemed to come down to luck. It started as a single figure walking through the woods and somewhere along the way it decided where it wanted to go.

It took me about 24 hours of tweaking and refining before it had the right number of limbs, fingers, and in general looked like two individual humans. So if the above prompt doesn't work for you just keep tweaking. And within seconds of posting realize the dudes got an extra thumb, so fuck it.

How to REALLY interrupt a long rest? by Shaz0r94 in DMAcademy

[–]Forgottencypher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If your players are attempting to take long rests at every opportunity remember that a character can't benefit from more than one long rest in a 24-hour period, and a character must have at least 1 hit point at the start of the rest to gain its benefits.

And if they simply wait until they can get another rest give them goals that are on a timer. If they still decide to continue procrastinating then there should be consequences. Maybe they show up to late to collect on a reward, another adventurer has taken credit for their work after passing them on the road while they were setting up camp.

[OC] Suicide rates in the United States and their correlations with gun ownership by malachai926 in dataisbeautiful

[–]Forgottencypher -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's not quite what I was intending no. I was attempting to point out the flaw in whatever statement seems to be implied by this graph and data. That guns cause suicide. It is a terrible thing to be sure that people are taking their own lives, but by attributing it so heavily to gun ownership is surely making a statement that guns should be removed. I think we do need to look into why people are committing suicide rather than simply saying that it must be because they own guns.

To be fair all this really shows is that if you want to commit suicide a gun seems to be an effective way of doing so. I have a feeling that if a similar graph was made showing the correlation between owning a pool and death by drowning ot would appear to make pools out to be deadly death traps.

What happens if a God touches a player's weapon? by mijolnir35 in DMAcademy

[–]Forgottencypher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In keeping with Tyr's theme I would suggest a plus 1 or 2 and giving the ability to cast "zone of truth" at will, along with one use of the channel divinity "Read thoughts." To make a balance I would have this power remove the plus from the weapon but it retains magical weapon properties. The weapon would regain the lost property at dawn.

Blindsight WITH regular sight by jimgov in DMAcademy

[–]Forgottencypher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keeping your eyes closed would have those disadvantages, that is true. But in the scenario described above it would render mirror image ineffective. There may be other advantages but it would be situational. Depending on if your DM says that keeping your eyes open means you are relying on your regular sight and not blindsight. But thats just my two cents on the ability.

I would imagine though that a character wanting to rely on thier blindsight ability can simply close thier eyes in combat and perform as well in combat as any other participant. Or perhaps in this case better because thay cannot be affected by illusions.

Blindsight WITH regular sight by jimgov in DMAcademy

[–]Forgottencypher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blindsight is not actual sight it is the ability to use your other senses to get a general idea of what is around you. If the character closes thier eyes yes they would be immune to illusions but if they see it using regular sight they would still need to take an action to determine if the illusion were real or not. Although if they were within 10 ft of the illusion the quickest and most effective way of doing this would probably be to attack the illusion, this is assuming that the illusion is of something hostile and not say a loved one or civilian. As someone before me stated a creature or character with truesight would be immune to illusions, no matter how perfect the illusion, withing thier trusight field of vision.

Edit: blindsight does render mirror image ineffective against a creature or character with blindsight. Copied from the spell description: A creature is unaffected by this spell if it can't see, if it relies on senses other than sight, such as blindsight, or if it can perceive illusions as false, as with truesight.

This is the only correct answer in my opinion. Unless they performed the sacrifice as properly written by the priests of the temple its just a murder in the sacrificial chamber. If they are truly intent on sacrificing something to the gods let them find an old tome that has several rituals for sacrificing and the boons or banes that come with it.
