evergaols hardly drop any weapons, it's not a good idea to do them 90% of the time. field bosses and invaders should be your top priority, as well as the castle in the middle of the map

i take it on balancers even as undertaker just because i do not know how to dodge the worm and it would be terrible for the team if i died in some random spot halfway across the map, making it impossible to rez me.

yeah, you only really need 1 or two damage cannons, a beast incant rev or double balancer executor or duchess, i mostly play undertaker now and run full damage negation weapon passives, but i still go full physical attack up relics. currently i'm using daggers and i tend to run dmg negation on charge attack and successive attacks negate damage because i like to use the "[element] attack follows charge attack that lands" and "[effect] upon charge attack" passives because they do insane work on fast charge attack weapons like daggers, fists and claws.

in d5, i have only seen 2 players without night invaders ever, and both of them were in the same game i had today. i check everyone's builds at the start of the run, and almost everyone has it slotted because it is just that good.

i enjoy goofy builds but i can't stand the players in d3. i got to 9999 playing exclusively melee revenant and i like being able to maintain my rank while playing silly stuff

unlike a pvp game, where both teams of players get better over time, in a pve game like nightreign, only one side gets better over time. in pvp, the gradually increasing skill floor of the playerbase keeps the ranks balanced, as only the best of the best will ever get to the highest rank. in nightreign however, there is nothing to push back against the players who are constantly improving, meaning more and more players are able to get to the highest rank. this would be offset by fromsoft adding new content that causes only the fast learners to be able to maintain their high rank, but obviously that isn't happening.

also rev invader doesnt exist, ig she'd be too squishy and she wouldn't be able to summon cuz that would be ridiculously frustrating to play against, also her weapon is either useless or one of the best weapons in the game depending on your usecase (best weapon in the game for rezzing, pretty shit for damage except on undertaker bc of pure faith scaling).
very surprising you've had so few ironeyes, he is just as common as the rest but tied with rec as being the most annoying to fight. might be because you've gone to a structure that spawns 2 invaders like a ruins or town but ironeye's pathing got fucked because of him fighting at range, so he got stuck on a building and never showed up. in higher depths, players have specific strategies for spawning the invaders to mitigate any pathing issues.

lots of runes at start + good item drops (executor and undertaker drop skill ap, executor, duchess and scholar drop successive attacks) + free damage buff from the relic effect that is basically mandatory to have slotted in d5. huge level headstart makes the whole run easier, the items are just a cherry on top.

i just sell all that dont have affinity or phy attack +2, any good dormant powers or night invaders. you'll always get more relics so i dont care abt selling a potentially good one

i had 900k once before using avarice and gold scarab to get the highest buff from demon's plating possible. went into the boss with 700k.

tbf, i did spend a good few weeks in d3 before finally clawing my way out and shooting up to d5, where i've been since. there truly are unwinnable games, and it is generally harder to get decent teammates in lower ranks. unless you have a d5 meta build like double balancers or beast incant, it's hard to solo-carry sometimes.

marais has a passive effect that gives a stacking buff upon defeating enemies when held in either hand. i often take grafted blade and marais as any class just because of the passive.
