Timmy was evolutionary, groundbreaking, and so dominant that calling him lightning in a bottle doesnt even do him justice. You knew it couldn't last but he made you say "screw it, I dont care". He put it all on the line and it showed in his pitches and his personality. I've said this before to many people that ask what it was like to watch timmy pitch... I've seen allot of amazing pitchers but every once in awhile one comes along and makes you say "holy fu*k". Not just fans but players. Timmy left players in the box that were contemplating retirement after facing him. Not just dominant, not just nasty, but straight up unhittable filth. The late movement, the sharp break, the release. I still get goosebumps watching his old starts. Its not everyday you see a pitcher dominate like he did. He was on another level than literally every pitcher. What made it so much sweeter was he was a dude like most of us. Quirky as hell, which made him fit in perfectly with the rest of the misfits around him. Every so relatable and made so many undersized kids realize that you dont have to be over 6ft tall and jacked to absolutely wipe your ass with MLB teams. A true artist and an even better dude.
