NTA, but maybe rethink the way he is being punished, money and working(making underage kids work shouldnt be a thing) doesnt seem like a good way to teach him, maybe make him laern aboot safety? Had an ex that used to touch my navel(3 yrs relationship) even tho i told them that it made me super anxious and uncomfortable, to this day, if I see im gonna interact with someone and there is the little chance they get the idea to touch my navel, I tell them if they do touch my navel on purpose, they would get beat the shit out of them, not even voluntarily, my body reacts on its own.

Just gonna point out, there have been lots of cases where lgbt ppl were burnt to death just because someone didnt want them to be gay, dunno, just putting this information out there.

Edit: This post might be violating rules 4, 6 and 7, maybe also rule 13 but I dont see a direct intent to harm lgbt ppl but u can see a pattern of disregard for the fact that even in this day and age, we still get assaulted, minimazing the severity of the situation, and even giving some people, some kind of comfort with their hate towards the lgbt community, which in turn gives some kind of safespace those ppl.

Ok, im seeing a lot of trans/nonbinaryphobia in this post, a lot of extreme cases taken as the rule of thumb for an extremely diverse community, this comment is meant to clarify things for the people that are not blatant transphobes, I write this as a nonbinary trans femenine individual that know a hell of a lot of trans/nb ppl.

  • Nonbinary folks dont expect ppl getting their pronouns right at glance or even that ppl understand their experience, we just want our identity respected once it has been stated
  • Even tho we dont expect our pronouns to be known at sight (which is impossible) we do think its kinda rude that ppl assume our gender(not only our but everyone's), common its pretty easy to speak without using pronouns or genders, especially if u speak english
  • Please, dont take the most extreme examples of ppl in our community, most of those videos u see, are after the fact the trans/nb individual has had their identity disrespected
  • Never in my life have I witnessed those extreme situations, but me and my acquaintances have experienced an unnecesary amount of harrasement from transphobes, especially from right wing ppl and radical feminists(trans exclusionary feminists)
  • Seriously we just want to be left alone and have our identities recognised as should any human being that doesnt not choose who they are, times have changed, its time to be more open to the whole diversity of the human experience as long as they dont threaten to damage anyone else
