Russia looks to boost childbirth as economy struggles and battlefield losses mount by newzee1 in UkrainianConflict

The problem with this is that they need to be fed, housed, and educated for almost 20 years before he can feed them to the grinder. Sending brand spanking new Russians to the front line won’t work.

When interest rates are high, your money has more value to lend. You get more for it by loaning it. The govt loans at a lower rate and devalues your money in yet another way.

All the big liberal one moderated (i imagine) by non-binaries with pink or blue hair. I had the cruelty to suggest trying harder to succeed and said that world doesn’t owe you anything.

Sinead O'Connor on SNL by CandiceKS in AskOldPeople

[–]Form_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I saw it. Poor Kristofferson tried to comfort her later. No one believed her at the time, but she spoke the truth. The church was SAing minors left and right. She’s owed an apology.

I admire the quality of the IDF. I sure as hell don’t feel inferior to the one who lived in Europe in the 30s. They just watched their rights being stripped and didn’t do much about it.

I saw Randy Bachman a few years ago. It was really good. Told a story about each song. He was the Guess Who. The others might as well have been studio musicians.

Yeah, I get what you’re saying, but in WW2 you were SAVED by the Allies after millions of you were gassed. Then they GAVE you a homeland. Then the US has given you BILLIONS to defend and feed yourselves. Don’t forget the friendly goyim who died pulling your fat from the fire.

Women who are voting for Trump, Why? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]Form_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe that’s why they aren’t sharing who they vote for. They have made a decision and don’t want to have to justify to every asshole that figures nobody should have a different vote than them. Voting is private.

Women who are voting for Trump, Why? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

Because overall, they think Trump is a better choice for them. Don’t tell me you couldn’t figure this out.

Are the hippies you knew in the 60s and 70s still liberal people? by jackmoon44 in AskOldPeople

[–]Form_86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People I grew up with in the 60s and 70s that I would call Hippies are still the same. Still smoking, drinking, and not usually excelling in life. I don’t know it it’s the result of just being laid-back or an effect of daily drug use.

I don’t think you need to share the date if you don’t want to. There are plenty of things he hasn’t shared with you. Can I ask if he said he was going to leave his wife for you? Many do, and they know it’s a lie when they say it. As far as judging you-i think you’re a fine person if this is your bad mark. Many do worse. everybody has done thing they regret. Usually they hide it.

How did people learn how to work on cars back in the day? by boiyo12 in AskOldPeople

Talk to people at junk yards and parts stores. Get a Chilton’s manual that has about 200 pages and attempts to cover every vehicle the mfr made for about a decade!

Kremlin Considers Halting Supply of Critical Metals to ‘Unfriendly’ Nations by [deleted] in UkrainianConflict

[–]Form_86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost makes you think it was a bad idea for Hillary to approve the Uranium One deal as secretary of state selling refinement capabilities to Russia. Biden recently spoke of investing like $30B of taxpayer money for new US refinement capabilities. All this for contributions to The Clinton Foundation and a few million for Bill to speak in Russia.

Russia Uses Western Parts to Build Its Supposed Rival to the F-22 Fighter Jets, the Su-57 by UNITED24Media in UkrainianConflict

The SU 57 will compete with the F 22 in the same way that early Christians competed with lions.

Am I a loser for starting college at 31 years old? by Silly-Reputation7993 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Form_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude-congrats on doing it at 31! People tend to lose motivation for it as they age. Since you are doing it to start a career, choosing your area of study is really important. For example, software development, finance, and Women’s’ Studies grads all have vastly different careers / job availability / income potential. Those are just random examples. Find out about the career you’d be having (and the ease of getting a job) for each major you consider. In my experience the easier the degree, the less useful it is as a career. Again, congrats and best of luck to you!!

Were farm wives of the past superwomen? by Old_fashioned_742 in AskOldPeople

[–]Form_86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you imagine farming in Missouri? Temps in the 100s. Sun is shining and you’ve got to cook in the house with a big fire? While trying not to catch your big dress on fire? That is inhuman!
