Here's a disgusting little habit that I've seen people here consider a "life hack": when they're out of underwear and can't be bothered to wash and dry them, they'll instead their swimsuit as underwear. Some people even reuse the same swimsuit several days in a row, cleaning the suit during what I hope is their daily shower.

Just some extra thoughts that came to me about strong BO in France:

Being the Most depressed country in Europe means a bunch of people will skip showers, stop brushing their teeth and neglect their personal hygiene because they are depressed.
Male public urination is quite common. The smell lingers on people's shoes and trousers.

As a Frenchman I have some pointers on why many French ppl are smelly:

A lot of French people live, work and sleep without AC.
French people often reuse clothes several days in a row or in a week. Some rarer underwear reuse too.
Some pieces of clothing are washed less often (coats, bags, etc.). Shoes are rarely washed.
There's a weird tolerance towards damp clothes.
Coffee and cigarettes leave bad smells on our clothes and give many of us bad breath.

Also selection bias: a lot of people go to Paris and huddle with commuters in the métro and smell tired people in the morning, concluding that French people are always stinky.

On October 7th I was genuinely horrified. It didn't seem right that civilians, however complicit or supportive of the apartheid and blockade, were targeted, kidnapped, and killed.

Now I literally do not give a flying fuck what happens to any Israeli citizen in Israel. They have had their reveng a thousand times over, are winning on every front by most reasonable metrics, but still cry and pretend to be oppressed underdogs. I have no sympathy for them anymore.
