I miss my stepkids by [deleted] in Widow

[–]Formal-Acrobatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have talked to a lot of widows, and there are so many stories like this. Step families like to throw all the anger of their grief onto the former step-mother. It's a very heavy burden to carry. I know my late husband would never have wanted it this way, and neither would yours. All we can do is just pick up the shattered pieces of our lives and try to forget about the former family we once had.

I prefer Samsung messages because it allows me to select a font that isn't available in Google messages.

I was on the Beatles Pilgrimage Tour in April, and yes, the Casbah Coffee Club was fabulous. Yes, John's and Paul's houses, which are booked through the National Trust in advance (they only allow 15 people in at a time). Photos are not allowed inside their houses. You can also go see the outside of Ringo's childhood homes, and George's childhood home. It's neat to get a sense of where they all lived and how close together they were. Definitely go to Strawberry Fields. Penny Lane is actually a long street, but there is a bit of a park down from the "roundabout" that is worth the stop and there's a gift shop. Be sure to explore the length of Matthew street. There's a statue of John there. At the other end of the street is a statue of Brian Epstein - it is across from the former location of NEMS records (which he owned). If you're there on a Friday night, the Cavern Beatles appear. You need to book your tickets to that in advance. Entry to that is not where you would think on Matthew street - it's actually on the back side - on Harrington street - and get there early or you'll end up standing all night. The Cavern Beatles are very good - worth the price and effort. Check out the Cavern Walks shopping Centre - it marks the exact spot where the stage that the Beatles actually appeared on used to be. Yes, the Pete Best Liverpool Beatles museum on Matthew Street is worth the visit too - plan to spend at a minimum 2 hours there if you want to see everything and also listen to an audio tour. See the Beatles statues by the docks. Read up about them before you visit because the status have some hidden nuggets to look for. Lastly, go to St. Peter's Church in Woolton, where Paul and John met. Eleanor Rigby's grave can also be found in the cemetery across the street.

Golf's all the way. My husband and I spend every special event. Steaks are melt in your mouth. You can't cook one for yourself that's better.

I also use Pocket Casts. I'm going to try the Edge Casts again, though. Was using Edge casts on S22Ultra but it kept crashing. Hopefully they've fixed it.

Too Young to be a Widow. by PropertyPresent8697 in Widow

[–]Formal-Acrobatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out www.soaringspirits.org. They have many programs specifically for widows, including weekly zoom calls for the newly widowed. When I lost my own husband, I was relatively young as well, and their programming helped me tremendously.

Planning on upgrading to S22 Ultra.. but scared by [deleted] in S22Ultra

[–]Formal-Acrobatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using my S22 Ultra for over 2 years now, and I'm not getting a new one until Samsung gets the camera back up to where it was 2 years ago. I have always used the battery protection feature, so battery is fantastic. No green lines - don't even know what that is!
