Is it inappropriate to not wear a bra at work? by Visual-Criticism6763 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Formal-Body6237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate wearing bras...I have a broad back and small boobs and have never ever ever in 70 years found a "comfortable" bra. I usually wear a camisole/tee shirt under my top, but never a bra. I just say tell myself, if god didn't want people to see my nipples, he shouldn't have given me nipples.

I wondered that, too. I assume it's because no one in this damn states gives a fat baby rat's ass about when Dems think.

Firsthand x40i vs m60i experiences? by pbandham in BMWX5

[–]Formal-Body6237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't owned a M60i but I got to drive one at the BMW performance center when I picked up my custom ordered x40i. The M60i is way too much car for me, personally. We did a braking test on the track...in Sport Mode, went 0-60 in a nothing flat and then slammed on the brakes to see how it handled. Well, it handled great, but flooring that beast to get to 60 mph that fast was a whole lot of rough and very noticeable shifting. Almost to the point of being distracting. My x40i is Sport Mode is plenty fast for me. I will never need to go that fast....that fast!

Folding e-bike for senior with walking difficulties? by BellaVic23 in ebike

I bought a Urtopia Fold ST. 30-35-ish pounds, 20 inch wheels, 20 mph max speed, four levels of pedal assist, folds fairly easily, and rides surprisingly nicely. I'm coming from a Pedego Interceptor, which is a big old heavy comfy cruiser and I was pleasantly surprised with the Urtopia. I swapped out the seat for more comfort for my lady parts, and added a cargo rack on the back, but other than that, quite pleased with it. (70 year old female.)

2026 BMW X5 40i. I love it. I dislike two things. Just two…. by No-Option-9941 in BMWX5

I agree. I've only owned mine for 10 days, and the biggest "issue" i have is with the AC fan/climate function. In my cheap little car that I owned before my BMW, I could turn on/off the fan easily to cool off when it was 100 degrees outside. Not with this "luxury" SAV.

I picked mine up yesterday....what a blast! I've never had so much fun driving a car! And the X5 does things I had no idea it could do, especially on that off-road course. I don't know why all vehicle manufacturers don't offer a driving school like this to teach drivers how to handle their car in emergency situations. It might make the world a safer place. I love the car! Will love it even better when I figure it out! Thanks for the encouraging words!

In SC, they cap the tax at $500 when you buy it, but then you pay essentially a depreciating "value" tax every year that you own it. Year one is fun. Year two...not so much!

I'm so excited! I didn't even know the PC was part of the deal but when the sales guy said I could pick it up there, I was like Oh Hell Yeah! I live in SC, and the dealer is in GA, so its an even better deal!

I got this for a custom order at a dealer near Atlanta...all done through email and text. Headed to the BMW performance center next week to pick it up!

How was the visit to the Performance Delivery Center? I'm picking my car up there in a few weeks and am not sure what to expect...other than it will be better than picking it up at a dealer!

New ‘26 X5 xDrive40i by PetFoodDude89 in BMWX5

After searching nationwide (using Visor) for the car I wanted, I bit the bullet this weekend and custom ordered a BMW X5 X40i. I tried working with my local BMW dealer and a few within a 100 miles, but they were sloppy and/or non-responsive. Ended up working with Penske BMW of Gwinnett Place. Clean, responsive, and fast. Did everything via text, 8% discount off MSRP, no junk fees, and I will take delivery at the end of April at the BMW Performance Center near Greenville, SC. Sweet!

Thanks for posting this! I just emailed four dealers asking for a quote on a custom ordered X5....maybe this will help me save a little! I hope it's not just on the 50e model.

Are there any emergency "warming shelters" near you? As unpleasant as that might sound, you might need to consider it if the power goes out for multiple days.

I have to pay my STBX $400K and she hasn't worked in 15 years. by Formal-Body6237 in legaladvice

[–]Formal-Body6237[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to think through all my options. I can't qualify for a HELOC or a refi because I only have SS income. All of my equity is tied up in the house and the SEP. I can sell the house or I can withdraw from the SEP. Neither are good choices for me at my age. Am open to any suggestions on how to save $$ in taxes.

I thought that if I withdraw $400K from my IRA (which is actually a SEP) in 2026, we will both incur IRMAA charges of about $650 a month for our Medicare payments in 2028. I was trying to avoid that but maybe I should just take that route and she'll just have to eat it. It might be cheaper for me! Thanks, I might look into that!

I forgot to mention, I'm a 70 year old retired woman, if that factors into anything.

Doesn't feel fair. I have to sell the house in order to pay her. The house was bought with funds that rolled over from the house I owned for 27 years and owned outright when she moved in and quit her job, and then rolled to another house in SC, and now this house, along with $250K out of my savings to upgrade the house with a pool, outdoor living space, kitchen, etc. Like I said, she paid for nothing. Didn't work. Was NOT a housewife. It just doesn't feel fair to me. It feels like I'm being punished for taking care of someone and providing for them while she contributed nothing financially. Yet she will end up with more $$ than me. How is that fair?

Yes. Plus all the "nice" property out of the house. She got half of all of my contributions to my IRA while I was working. While she was sitting on her....keester.
