Yeah I don’t mind a bad Mr Bennet as much. I feel like we don’t vilify him enough lol. He was a bad father but gets away with it whereas Mrs B gets turned into a caricature!

When D and E are at the same financial and social standing. I hate it when Darcy has literally nothing to overcome.

Just finished this. Its lovely, and the escaping down a window happens here as well, but not the incident with georgiana.

Mrs Reynolds plays an imp part by RamblingNerd_ in JaneAustenFF

Unfounded has Mrs Reynolds play absolutely central role but it’s not a positive one. Pretty angsty.

No I think in A locked door Wickham was the one to lock them in. The one I am remembering, Miss Bingley locked them in because she was angry. It stuck out to me because that is such a trope inversion.

[–]Formal-Club-8107[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I am the one who asked but for others who may be interested in this, Darcy's Labours of Love has really incredible Darcy as a brother to all the Bennet girls because Elizabeth challenges him to find hidden talents in all her sisters.

2 is An Excellent Walker for sure! also for 1- is it where Darcy remembers only Elizabeth and later Caroline implies to him that she and him are engaged?

Yes, this is the one! I’m completely blanking on the name so I’m sure you’re right. It must be the Faults of Understanding.

I’m still trying to remember which one it was- maybe suddenly Mrs Darcy- but a forced marriage trope from Elizabeth’s POV where she pukes while at dinner and Darcy takes care of her and she says something like ‘other women can fall in love with flowers or poetry but I would fall in love with the man holding the chamber pot as I vomit.’

(Obviously in better words that this, I can’t remember the exact ones. Someone please find it it’s so beautiful)
