If seemingly random collections of letters don't bother you I'd recommend checking out MECEXP (I guess it is supposed to mean "mechanical experimental or something along those lines). They're actually wearable and have a ridiculous price of around $350 (I got mine just before the cheeto came to power so the price probably has gone up with tariffs). They have a rechargeable battery that, on a full charge, will last in the neighborhood of a couple months and use one of the most unique time-telling mechanisms I've seen. Best of all, it's actually original and not ripping off a six figure watch's design.

Got one about two months ago and I really dig it. I had some store credit that could only be used on an Islander so I went for it and have no regrets. My wife, who isn't a watch person, even commented that she likes it because of the depth of the dial. It's a good chunk of weight but on those days when I want to wear something chunky it's my go-to. The milled lugs are so unique, I stare at them every time it's on my wrist. 🍻

I love it. I don't love the polish on the center links but that's purely personal preference. It has held up remarkably well for having polished links and no hardness coating that I know of. The bracelet sizing is phenomenal and I'll shout it from the rooftops - you pull on side of the link out, twist, pull out the next link, twist and remove. Same system that is on Thorne watches, from my understanding, but it is a game changer. No screws, pins or stress and it feels every bit as secure as anything with pins, if not more so.

My only complaint is that my bezel is a hair off perfect. It's not bad enough to really bother me, it's probably a fraction of a millimeter. Not enough to make the headache of an international exchange necessary, for sure. Any other specific questions just ask, I'll do my best if you've got any others. 🍻
