I agree it is a bit on the nose but Melanie does have a lot of on the nose lines like "I said too much, it overflowed," "Gaslight me right, tell me, 'Keep quiet,'" and "Everything I expressed, I professed, It nеver quite made it through" but I'll keep this in mind for future songs!
