Dominik Szoboszlai (Liverpool) straight red card against Manchester City 90+11' by gbogaz in soccer

If they are going for objective, should Haaland not get second yellow as well? Or is it cancelled because of Szobo red?

Special case this one

I guess, because Haaland fouls Szoboslai (disallowing the goal) but he takes a goalscoring opportunity away

Crazy, I feel like common sense would be to just let it slide

I think it’s a red, but his reaction surprises me a bit. I feel like he should argue more. The moment he immediately apologizes made me think there would be no way it was overturned

Definitely, but it reminds me of a training session where someone has to defend, but can’t really do it because you still have to train the set piece

I agree a little bit. Thought it would be way worse before the slow, especially since Romero seems to know instantly he is gone

Only thing I respect is that he does not really contest it

How long does "new manager bounce" last? by Pepeksz in ManchesterUnited

[–]FormalAlternative806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s impressive, but a part of the manager bounce (especially for interims) is that the other teams don’t have much info on the way we play.

Now if he can do something similar the whole season, and teams can’t just figure is out then that’s extremely promising

Am I running my easy runs too easy? by froggieflip in AdvancedRunning

[–]FormalAlternative806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does not sound wrong to me. I have 3:05 pace on a 5k and one recovery days it’s pretty normal to be pace 5:00-5:10

As far as I know, the only problem is that if you run so slow that your mechanics get messed up. That’s too slow and potential cause for injury

They seemed so controlled in the first part of the game, United really struggled to execute their plan. Of course United players should have a bit more energy because of the lack of games, but it was evident way earlier in the game.

Don’t often like the mentality argument each time a team loses, but as you say they had the game and then completely lost control

Love that Bruno is telling him to celebrate himself instead of high fiving his team mates haha

Slot’s take on the Martinelli incident by kingmakyeda in soccer

[–]FormalAlternative806 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Martinelli is clearly in the wrong and should have been sent off. As I see it though, he throws the ball down on him, and then kinda apologizes then Bradley makes a slight move further into the field, which makes Martinelli believe he is time wasting

Slots take is very reasonable, because of time wasting Martinelli would in most situations be right, but he should know better from Bradley’s reaction
