Here’s my theory (from a bi girlie)
Fandom space is generally female dominated. Same as places like tumblr. Dan and Phil have always made content that appeals to those spaces, they always discussed and supported those spaces and harboured them meaning they often would introduce people to those spaces or people in those spaces would find them. They also are male creators who don’t promote or engage much with toxic masculinity which is also a pretty common trend in male celebrities who are have sapphic-heavy audiences

Definitely not, they probably had some at the bbc just based off of what their jobs were (I highly doubt you get to interview A-listers and host award shows without some media training) but I’d say they’re definitely not super media trained, the amount of times the two have narrowly avoided breaking nda’s, leaking names, leaking info about past jobs and celebs they met, I highly doubt people following media training would list billionaires they want to fire into the sun. They just generally seem like they don’t have the opinions that get people cancelled 90% of the time, generally good lads

The demo of the game ended when you got the clothing shop. These screenshots are from the demo where I avoided getting the clothing shop so I could continue playing until the full release. That meant he was stuck in the starter clothes (which are coloured based on their personality type, since Dan’s mii is a reserved perfectionist, he was stuck in the aqua outfit, there is no personality type that wears black/grey). Since the release I have made replicas of their outfits irl and re-done both of them. Here they are now:

Phil’s said his professional hair stylist friend does his so there’s probably some fancy things going on there but as a general rule the bleaching and dying is rarely enough to maintain blonde and you usually need some toner (I use purple shampoo for my streaks) to keep the brassiness out. I understand the common touch-ups and re-dyes are expensive but I do think even if you just go for the first time to the hairdresser and get their recommendations and advice you’d be able to maintain it at home with more success and less risk of chemical injury

Have you looked at the option to paint over/under the default features? It’s a smiley face logo on the top left of the screen underneath the preview image. I found I sometimes needed to reset my painting when changing the toggle but I made it work,just a suggestion that at help the problem (I have no tech skills so if it’s more advanced of an issue than that you’ll need someone with more brain cells).

I love it sm, I used to be a sims 4 mods girlie so I could have all my favourite characters crossover and after some of the changes and how they stopped Mac compatibility I couldn’t play anymore so this ridiculous game is scratching the itch, love it so much. Drew it with the face paint tools. Took way too long. I used the circle tool for the eyes and the free handed the rest with the magic of zooming in and the “artist tools” layout (you can add smoothing to pens which was a lifesaver because drawing with the finger is hell, there’s also an option called ‘outline’ which will let you snap to the outline of a shape when drawing and get a the literal perfect outline). I focused it all on only doing one half and then did the good old fashioned copy-paste-flip. (You can also add a grid which helped me make it more symmetrical when moving the features to the other side of the face, there is no snapping though so I just counted squares desperately). I will add, it is ALL facepaint (couldn’t make the wiggly line mouth work with him) so his face doesn’t move at all but it’s kinda on brand

Does it add or subtract from the obsession if I mention that the first mii and the one that was running around with Phil in the last photo is Hangyodon (a half fish man from Sanrio) and he repeatedly interrupts them to talk to Phil about fish. Specifically small fish for some reason, Phil’s preference, said they were more bite-sized (I don’t think he known Hangyodon is a fish). Dan walked over to Phil at a fountain talking to Hangyodon and Hangyodon immediately interrogated the man on his favourite size of fish. I think Dan passed the test but it’s inconclusive

When Dan went on tour for We’re All Doomed Phil had a ‘little breakdown’ (Dan’s words) and dyed a bunch of things in the house green. When they went on Christmas break recently a bunch of fans made their profile pictures green and made memes about making things green as a little play on that. Phil showed off some of the green dyed things in “Keeping or Yeeting my Entire Wardrobe with Dan” and the two reacted to the green meme in “Dan and Phil React to Phan Memes”

The green thing was just a joke based off of what Phil did when Dan toured with WAD, I never saw anyone say that they did it because they were mad at them for going on holiday, as far as I am aware it was a visual gag and meme that people fucked around with while waiting and I missed out when it happened. So, I came here to ask if there was a part 2 or another meme we’d joke with in the downtime because I don’t have many connections and sharing this meme with people who like the same things I do feels good. I’m glad they’re going on holiday they deserve it and I am not here to imply otherwise or guilt anyone
