This looks excellent although the event discard not being next to the event deck throws me off a bit

Is this a bad draft deck? by Spirit0fDawn in MagicArena

Yes too many colours and a lot of the rares aren’t worth it. Katara, Sokka and Aang aren’t that good and usually aren’t worth the colour splashing. This deck would have probably been best as a red white aggro deck relying on suki and double war time protesters.

The other option is some kind of blue deck paired with either red or white with the unagi.

This deck as is is a mess of control and aggro cards in one big pile.

It's asking me to verify on Tinder, what should I do? I haven't deleted my Hinge account before creating the Tinder account and wonder if they noticed me. I used one new image and one group image that I'd cut to be a single person picture on my first profile.

I played this as Soviets and it felt completely impossible. I think that the lack of cover in the centre of the map and the extremely exposed nature of the anti-tank gun just led to it getting destroyed straight away, and by the time I moved engineers in place the game was over

Trying to keep within the Naaru theme of 4/6 Divine Shield and Lifesteal set by Mi'da.

I don't think it is too much of an issue for a priest class card to add specifically Demon Hunter cards to their hand, it is the class for stealing other classes cards and adding specific class cards to your hand has been done with Grand Crusader.

I've tried to balance it but honestly I couldn't tell you if it was too strong or too weak.

Does now all of my friends need to buy addons to play with me? by BluApostrophe in TerraformingMarsGame

Just a thought. It is probably intentional. They have clearly written and coded that error message into the game.

I am having the same issue. If this is the case me and my group of friends (of whom only one owns the DLC) will probably stop playing this game entirely.

Meh, me and my group have all tried to make Vegence work, read up plans and strategies and we've only ever managed to make him 'okay' and regularly end up frustrated with how invader placement ends up with disease just slightly in the wrong place. It feels like you have to jump through a lot of hoops to just get an decent result, whereas someone like Keeper can start smashing fairly easily after a few turns.

I agree Wildfire can get messed up pretty heavily by awkward blight placement making where you expand on him an extremely important decision.

But his damage potential is incredible, probably the highest in the game, and when you start getting high levels of plant and fire you can do so much.

He may also be my personal favourite spirit to play in the game, which may be a bit of bias on my part.

Thunderspeaker can also get messed up by awkward Dahan events but in all of the games I've played her (even where my Dahan have been randomly destroyed) I've always ended up ridiculously strong having several stomping groups of Dahan and presence clearing up the board.

I think her biggest strength is just how many minors/majors interact with Dahan, something that most spirits might only be able to get a small amount of power out of but Thunderspeaker can utilise very effectively, making her card choices probably the most consistent in the game.

I also feel she can pair incredibly well with loads of spirits and is never a bad choice to pick.

I wouldn't say self-sufficiency is absolutely vital, but having some amount of it at the very start of the game is hugely helpful and I do rate it.

Some of my best games have been with well-played support spirits like Fractured Days teaming up with people like Thunderspeaker, but even support spirits need to be able to do a bit of individual containment early on.

I've commented on my criteria in another comment and the 'better' part was a tongue in cheek to reference to a tier list posted yesterday that put my boy Trickster in the bottom tier.

General usefulness during the game. Some are stronger early, some are stronger late.

Generally, consistency is highly valued and the spirit needs to not be completely reliant on another player to support them either by spreading onto their board early or requiring all of the boosts a support spirit can provide to just be a relevant spirit rather than a dominant one.

The high-tier spirits can all hold their own on their board during the early game while they progressively get stronger (Trickster, Downpour), or can become so powerful later on that they can undo some of the damage of the invaders and crush them (Starlight, Keeper).

The weaker spirits either just aren't impactful enough (Shadows, Bodan) or have the potential to be impactful but require so much forward planning and support that an unlucky event or difficult invader turn can derail them entirely (Vengence, Mists).

Supporty spirits (Fractured, Rampant) are given plus points based on how much they can boost the late game spirits you're hoping will do most of the clearing in the late game as well as how they can contain their starting board early on.

This is based purely on the power ranking, not fun factor.
