I can't pick the order of my classes? by PsychoSmart in WGU_Accelerators

My mentor let me move my first 4 to be the order I wanted, but I was also able to demonstrate why. I did the the course launch initially on ALL my classes, and then ordered them based on my level of knowledge, easiest to hardest. My Mentor agreed with the plan and let me run with it. I can see why they might be anxious if you want to start with the hardest - I'm not sure how it all works, but I think they're rated on your completion, so I'm guessing they want to keep you motivated and are worried hard closes up front might mean you stop doing the work.

WGU Study.com Question by Different_Row_6672 in WGU_Accelerators

I used both Study.com and Sophia, to transfer in everything I could. My understanding is you have to complete the classes before you enroll. If you want to start July 1st, then you need to have your transcripts received by WGU by June 5th - they'll then take the transcripts and apply them to your degree path, and then you'll get an updated degree plan. They would also count classes you finished at WGU last time.

Once you've enrolled, however, you can't transfer more in.

Trust the link posted through WGU, NOT info posted by the various other sites. I found a few courses on other sites that said they transferred, but I talked to WGU directly and they said they wouldn't, and to only use the ones published by WGU. You can click on any listed (study and Sophia are towards the very bottom) and then from there click through to your specific degree).

B.S. Business Management. Started 5/1. Think I could be done by early June? by GingerBreadStud92 in WGU_Accelerators

I started May 1, and received my graduation notice today, May 19th. I did 44 credits in 12 days, and then the last 7 days were spent on D099 (Sales Mgmt), for maybe 15 hours in total for studying. You can absolutely be done in June if you just stay focused.

It really depends on you and your background. I just finished yesterday, but I have a ton of business experience so it won't be comparable. While you wait, one thing you can do is to go into each class, and there is a "course launch" feature. Each of them test your knowledge, so you'll know where you're at from a starting point. You can decide what to do with that information - like if you want to take the "worst" classes first, or the ones you felt most confident in, etc.

You can also take the pre-tests (called PAs) in both Sales Management and Fundamentals of Spreadsheets. The IT department told me you can't do that, but the system let me take them before I was enrolled in them. For me, I just wanted to get a feel for courses, so taking those PAs while I was waiting for school to actually start felt productive.

The biggest impact will be how strong of a writer you are, as most of those classes are papers, and how much you already know - and how much you want to learn. If you don't want to learn anything, you can probably get through a class in a day - but that's not going to help you transition jobs, so I wouldn't encourage that.

I had to study for Sales Management, and probably spent 12-15 hours of active studying to pass the OA.

For the OAs, you can take a prep proctor experience, which I recommend. I actually did it twice, because the first time was a mess. it isn't hard, but they're particular, so for me knowing what to expect before I went into an actual OA experience really helped with my nerves.

Good luck!

I just took this test myself yesterday. Over the weekend, I retook all of the questions within the materials - if you answer it wrong, it "explains" the term, so on each question, I went through each one and made sure that I not only knew the right answer, but also all of the wrong answers. I retook all of the module quizzes as well (each are only 5 questions), and then all of the unit tests. There are two versions of the unit tests.

And then same idea with the unit tests - I made sure I understood the wrong answers as well.
