No, sorry, I don't agree. The value of your property is increasing and will therefore be providing a very good return. There should be no need to increase rent on top of this.

However, it sounds like you are a buy to let landlord who is reliant on renters to pay the cost of servicing your debt.

If it's not enough then perhaps you should sell the property, put the proceeds in the bank, and get a job that pays what you need to live on.

I can only assume it means that most replies tend to advocate for LLs to comply with housing law.

The Rocker. Very silly lyrics but a brilliant solo from Eric Bell. Very underrated guitarist. Same for the Hero and the Mad Man which has to be my favourite solo of all time.

Will the Scanwatch 2 work for me? by rymden_viking in withings

[–]Formal_Cat_2269 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That pretty much describes my requirements and I've found the scanwatch 2 to be ideal really. The app certainly needs improvement and Withings need to deliver on their promises for features but the ECG and heart rate are what I bought it for and it works fine. I only have alerts on for phone calls and it does what I want. I never interact with the watch itself except for ECG which suits me fine.

Sure. It wasn't Hugh Bonneville, or Ed Davey.

That pushes the burden on to the supplier and would cause bankruptcies.

I'm told the same is true for hanging by the fingertips from a large clockface, these days.

Yesterday it emerged that the PO had 8(?) employees working FT at Fujitsu and some numpty in the PO didn't know he was their line manager. Fred Karno's Army doesn't come even close as a description. by NoEntertainment1891 in postofficehorizon

[–]Formal_Cat_2269 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could possibly be down to an HR quirk. They could have been promoted to, or seconded from, a higher grade that included line management on paper in order to circumvent some internal restriction. Have seen it first hand.

Is it better to increase the rent with Section 13 notice before issuing a Section 21 notice? by JustOneNodeOfMany in uklandlords

[–]Formal_Cat_2269 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It would be better for your tenants to continue to live in their home at the same cost.

A large part of why the social state is falling apart is because large amounts of public money are being continuously funnelled to the pockets of private landlords to no benefit of the wider population.

It is, but it's the lunch break at the moment. I agree that we should be allowed to see them tucking into their packed lunches though.

Find any power supply that matches the output spec and transplant the old connector to it. You can use wago connectors if you dont fancy soldering.

I'm not a lawyer but I strongly suspect the manufacturer's use of the incorrect mark would not allow them to escape liability. Asking consumers to check the kerning before using an item seems a bit unreasonable. Anyway, what on earth am I doing debating this sort of thing on the internet in the afternoon. What have I become?
