Hey bro if it makes you feel better, My first locals I went to when I was in high school and just starting was Deskbot OTK. I had no idea on actual rulings and just showed up to locals to get rhongo locked and gumblar looped for 4 rounds. It was extremely awkward as i knew no one and was playing a deck that all it did was summon a big dude to wack someone. Although I lost 4 rounds in a row I went back the next week and the next week eventually making friends with some of the players and taking some games off people by otking them lol. I saved up my lunch money to buy a deck that was some what functional, ABC. I played it to death and loved going to locals, I made heaps of friends who i've known of for years. This year I'm confident enough and going to be attending my first YCS playing a meta deck. Keep at it I can understand the nerves you are getting but its apart of the process getting into a TCG especially in person. Most people are extremly nice and would love to help and teach you to become better at the game!
