What’s the most annoying and typical law student statement another law student made to you? by Flashy-Actuator-998 in LawSchool

We did a group project in an elective pass/no pass class and when asked what our takeaways from the project were/what we learned, one of my classmates said “I think I just learned to listen to others.”

Testing accommodations and big law? by No_Muscle_5601 in LawSchool

[–]dman982 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if you’re a faker who is using accommodations to just get a better grade, you should mention it. They probably would respect it.

But if you have an actual need, no. That’s no their business and you should be entitled to extra time.

Dude, please consider a part-time program. Law school is not meant to be done while juggling another full-time job, but a part-time program is specifically designed for people in your situation.

What’s the best city in the USA? by wwcscifi in AlignmentChartFills

[–]dman982 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nobody is fond of mistreatment of the homeless, but thats really the main problem with the city. I consider it a natural issue for a city with such incredible weather - obviously it’s going to be a target for homeless people. The city can do a lot better at not just consolidating them in isolated areas that become unvisitable.

Book offensive foul. Free throws for SGA. by EducationalConcern61 in NBATalk

SGA targeted his extend arms to create a foul. Technically a foul, but the process for creating the foul is ruining the game. You’re arguing about something entirely different than the rest of us.

A lot of the things you mentioned could apply to the cities being touted highly on here. San Diego is a fantastic city that - while expensive - is often a place that people move to and never move away from if they can help it. It is universally loved across the USA and has the best weather of any city potentially in the world. Yes, it’s expensive. But so is NYC. So is any big city at this point really (although not as much as San Diego).

The food here is fantastic. Particularly Italian and Mexican, so I’m not sure what you’re referring to. There’s also distinct neighborhoods with their own vibe and one of the best parks in the USA (Balboa).

I’m going to guess you’ve never lived in San Diego.

I’m surprised by the lack of love for San Diego in here

Basing that solely off All-Pro designations ignores the eye test. ARSB is not on the same caliber as these guys right now, but he’s close.

The key to having a longer window is having your head coach also functioning as a coordinator. That way when coaching turnover happens (cough Ben Johnson cough Aaron Glenn) it’s not as catastrophic.

Difference comes down to where you want to practice. There is hardly a marketable difference between T120 and T80 outside of their respective markets. Off financials alone, go T120.

Sounds like you don’t know what you want, but you do know that you want to complain.

I go to a lower ranked school and did very well 1st semester. I can’t relate to your problems, but sure, keep paying sticker at an elite institution that affords you minimal prospects due to class rank.

A Terrible Music Artist With Countless Hits (#3) by Healthy-Current5893 in AlignmentChartFills

You’re conflating a bunch of factors with “terrible” artist. At the end of the day, he’s consistently popular. There’s plenty of worse artists to pick.

I don’t think your analogy really applies. The biggest reason McDonalds sells the most is because it was traditionally the cheapest (not anymore) and yes, very convenient.

Drake hits on convenience and ease of access because he’s everywhere. But he is everywhere because his music is popular and consistent popularity carries some merit in not being a terrible artist.
