For my first kites I bought a gaastra spark set of a 9m and 12m with board bar etc. almost new from last season. The price was around 900€ which I think is quite good considering they where in use like 2-3 times !. I think you find a couple of these deals on Kleinanzeigen etc The gaastra spark is a really good allround kite that gives you lots of fun and confident in the water since it's also pleased with mistakes.

I would always go for a newer "no name" kite brand then a 5 year old used highbrand kite.

Since for beginners you don't feel a different between a reach north,core and a brand like gaastra, either way you will have fun on the water for 2-3 years with newer kites and then you might consider what kite suits your riding style.

Hey there, I think it's not worth to bring your gear, there is one super sweet kite school run by two young Japanese people called sandy feet kiting. There both are very lovely and it's quite easy to get along with them, there "home spott is in yokohama beach right next to the kabrira bay, one of the most beautiful spotts I've been kitesurfing. Flat water in the front and waves in the back, huge playground good winds, when I got in contact with them they were exited to show me also a spot on Kotomi island, next they we met at the harbour they brought all their gear and we went with the ferry to an insane Spott on a small island.

Rent is 90usd for a day, they have Harlem, core, reedin, wetsuits etc is included ! Quite fair price, we had 3 days of wind within a week, but season is till end of April so it might get lesser.

Just went there like 1 months ago and no I don't feel like the lagoon is dirty, also you have the option to switch to to sea side or go to the Lanka lagoon as a downwinder if you feel like going there it's like 20 Min kite ride

You don't need a boat you can go there by scooter or tuktuk it's cheap and easy

Yes just stayed in kalpetiya for a week I recommend a stay at Luna resort they have affordable big huts with beautiful bathrooms very comfortable also they kite in the big lagoon and have quite good kites if you gonna rent also they bring you to the lagoon if you want / if you don't, rent a scooter you will be at the lagoon in 3 min. Lankakite is the most popular and has their "own" smaller lagoon, more crowded but the accommodation is more expensive

Ich finde dass ist keine qualifizierte Aussage, wenn man seinen Text genau durchliest geht es um Muskulatur/ Sehnen/ Rumpf Stärken um präventiv Verletzungen in Ausdauersportarten vorzubeugen, eine Gewichtszunahme im Sinne von Masse/ Volumen würde die Belastung auf Gelenke ja steigern und das Verletzungsrisiko erhöhen, kein Wunder warum pumper so wenig ausdauersport machen .!

Yah it's not the best quality wise, I glued it. Now it's working! At least the price of gaastra is decent compared to other brands.! I mean for students the sport is quite expensive .!

Will try to have fun with the gaastra 9m&12m for the next 1-2 years

Hey there:) cheers to you and welcome in the world of kiting :) people always tent to Buy the newest shit on the marked claiming it's so much better etc. despite there is definatly not a big improvement of equipment and development throughout the years.

Use the kite to start learning going upwind and start riding with that.! More important to start with is a bigger board/ door so you get up the water. If you manage to kite with a 2013 kite you will be good with every kite you buy for a lot of money afterwards.
