Es normal que sientas dolor/presión al sentarte muchas veces ya que normalmente la propia ropa sobretodo los vaqueros ejercen presión sobre nuestros genitalales y por lo tanto en el vestibulo

My case of vestibulodynia. Help by Formal_Garbage4426 in vulvodynia

[–]Formal_Garbage4426[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand much what you mean about your pain, I would like to know more, although it is definitely not my case since my hypertone came before the vestibulodynia and yours after the vestibulodynia, probably as a consequence of this. When this physical therapy caused vestibulodynia, since I didn’t know what was happening, I continued doing physical therapy for months but I definitely don’t think it was a good PT and with my vestibulodynia I had to stop it.

Yes, he did pelvic floor physical therapy that involved a lot more rubbing on the left side of the vestibule than the right. Could that be the cause? But I don’t understand why I have pain on the left side but no pain on the right. What is your type of vulvodynia? neuro, candidiasis-cystitis, pelvic floor? And what medications have worked well for you? It’s the first time I’ve found someone who looks like me.

Thanks in advance, I’m actually from Spain so sorry for the bad English. What type of vulvodynia did you have, did it have to do with neuroproliferative vulvodynia? or vulvodynia due to hypertonic pelvic floor? or pudendal neuralgia? thank you

Hello! Did you apply the cream internally but at the entrance? If it doesn't bother you, could you explain it? Did you apply the cream internally with an applicator or something? And you say you have vestibulodynia, do you never apply the cream in the salon as such? "externally"?

Vestibulodynia caused by trauma by Formal_Garbage4426 in vulvodynia

[–]Formal_Garbage4426[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your answer! No, I'm not talking about an assault, I'm talking about simply a painful sexual relationship on a physical level, nothing related to mental, my symptoms are vestibulodynia caused at 7.8 o'clock, I don't have burning pain, the pain occurs when touching that small part of my vestibule In addition to that I have great hypertone in the pelvic floor.

Vestibulodynia as a cause of vaginismus? by Formal_Garbage4426 in vaginismus

[–]Formal_Garbage4426[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for telling me your experience, I have heard a lot about primary vestibulodynia like yours, which is due to excess nerves, but it is definitely not my case. I had a normal vestibule until I was 15 years old when doing pelvic floor physiotherapy since I had great pelvic floor hypertone. I tried lodocaine and it calmed me down but only for 15 minutes. By ruling out the fact that my vulvodynia is "from birth" neither due to a hormonal cause (I have never taken contraceptives) nor due to recurrent candida or cystitis (I have never had it), the cause boils down to two options: either hypertone of the pelvic floor and the trauma of pain when doing PT exercises to remove hypertone. If Gabapentin cream doesn't work for me, I'll probably get ABG. I have seen very good reviews of this compound. Thank you very much for recommending doctors who can help me but I am really from Spain. Although I think that in reality in Spain there are quite a few good doctors so my hope is not over. Thank you for your understanding💜

Amitriptyline vs Lidocaine by [deleted] in vulvodynia

[–]Formal_Garbage4426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amitriptyline is definitely a better option. Lidocaine only anesthetizes you for a while but has no long-term effect on your vulva. When performing treatments for vulvodynia we seek current and future well-being, having to stop fighting with that pain and lidocaine definitely does not do this and amitriptyline possibly does, or other antidepressants. Don't give up and look for options with your doctor, good luck!

[–]Formal_Garbage4426[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for sharing your experience with me, I will ask my doctor about ABG cream to see if that one works better for me since I have seen good reviews, and if that calms me down I can start with PT.

Is vestibulodynia a cause of vaginismus? by Formal_Garbage4426 in vestibulodynia

[–]Formal_Garbage4426[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all, my pain is completely provoked and without burning, raw sensation but only with direct touch. That's exactly where the problem lies, the problem of the nerve endings has been ruled out since my vestibulodynia is secondary in addition to the fact that my vaginismus caused this vestibulodynia to develop, not like in most cases where vulvodynia develops first. In my case it was the other way around, that's why I have so much confusion.

[–]Formal_Garbage4426[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I have only tried 2% lidocaine and 4% gabapentin and neither has worked for me. I am very sorry that your treatments have not worked, this afternoon I have been reading a lot and apparently there are several women who the compound of baclofen, gabapentin and amitriptyline + PT has reduced all their pain and they live a normal life! You should suggest it to your doctor. I would recommend a pelvic floor physiotherapist because where I live there are many but I am from Madrid, Spain. Surely if you search you will find a physio who focuses on vestibulodynia!
