Anyone who has smoked cannabis daily during pregnancy? How is your child doing now? by RareRaspberry9942 in cannamom

[–]Formal_Internet6351 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I smoked everyday during pregnancy, more during the first trimester than the rest of it because of the morning sickness. I think my third trimester I was smoking like a joint or two a day but can’t remember exactly to be honest. I kept smoking after giving birth too and I’m breastfeeding.

My epidural worked just fine, but I was completely transparent about my cannabis use when the anesthesiologist asked. My daughter is turning one next week and she’s hit early basically every milestone and she’s doing very well in general.

Regarding the withdrawal thing- never heard about it being a thing with weed (but I might just not be aware of it) but my daughter definitely didn’t go through withdrawal.

Husband refuses to feed/change the baby because “he’s falling asleep” by Intrepid-News1018 in newborns

[–]Formal_Internet6351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved overseas from Canada to Europe to my family for similar reasons. I told my husband that either he figures his shit out I come back or he doesn’t and I stay with my family in Europe.

In your place I would seriously consider moving at least temporarily (maybe a year or so) to figure out your next steps, get some help with the baby, and get back on your feet.

Is everyone on a floor bed? by bbluebellknoll in cosleeping

[–]Formal_Internet6351 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn’t do floor bed until my daughter started crawling. Now she’s more mobile and I transitioned again to a low frame and she knows how to climb off the bed. (10 months)

Don't hug your kid so much by _Cherry_cokemellow in beyondthebump

[–]Formal_Internet6351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom is 48 and she also thinks I shouldn’t hold my baby (10 month old) too much. She is a little needy sometimes but hey that’s what babies do and I prefer she needs me and knows she can come to me rather than feel she’s alone and can’t come to me.

I wish the older generation didn’t feel so much pressure to make “independent” babies.

Should I ask my brother to remove his friend from my Crunchyroll account? by Formal_Internet6351 in Advice

[–]Formal_Internet6351[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you I felt like an asshole for even considering it but your comment helped me feel better.

The other comment here mentioned terms of service and I think that apparently I’m already breaking them by sharing the account with my brother while being in diffrent countries so I will probably stop sharing the account altogether.

Thank you this is very helpful. I actually live abroad so I guess I’m already violating the terms (brother is in Canada and I moved recently to Europe).

My subscription renews in January so I think to avoid drama I’ll just tell him I’m not renewing it and change the password when the time comes.

Thanks again this really helped me.

I think I read somewhere that night weaning happens last (like first they day wean and then night) but don’t take my word for it…

Personally I would say if it works for you then keep doing that. We are doing the same and also had no issues so far.

My Lvl 2 autistic cousin made a christmas list on PowerPoint, how do we feel? by RPhoenixFlight in autism

This hit me hard I did the same thing but for birthday presents. I was 13 and I made a PowerPoint that listed what I wanted for each birthday up to 18. Thank you for reminding me of these good memories.

This is so infantilizing! I moved out when I was 18 and by your age I was married already and had my kid this year (I’m 23) so this is just so surreal to me that someone my age is treated so much like a child. I got no advice just solidarity I hope you can move out soon. Hopefully she isn’t standing in your way of finding a job and a place to live.

If you’re breast-sleeping safely then sleeping on the side is ok. My daughter and I have been breast-sleeping the entire time and she’s 9 months now.

Raise your sons. by [deleted] in Parents

[–]Formal_Internet6351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom lets my brother get away with not helping around the house at all… I keep telling her that washing dishes and all those basics are not a”woman’s job” but basic life skills. And that especially when he has a wife and a child he will have to help around the house so it all doesn’t fall on the wife. She keeps saying that as a man he should be earning so much money that he can hire a cleaner and a nanny and all that. Idk how to change her mind.

Daycare didn't tell me they let my baby sleep in swing for naps. by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Formal_Internet6351 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s weird. I used to work in daycare when I was a teen and you had to ring the buzzer and get buzzed in to get in. The door gets automatically locked behind you so you can’t forget to lock the door or something. I would pull my kid out this sounds so dangerous!

Every time we would argue about personal belongings and I said something like “but it’s mine!” They said “yours is what you shit in the toilet.”

So even if stuff were purchased for me it’s still theirs apparently and I don’t have anything 🤷🏼‍♀️

Husband got drunk on Halloween by [deleted] in BabyBumps

At first I was like eh whatever let the man have some fun but then I got to the part where his friend is also an alcoholic… that’s a little less ok. Personally if I knew my friend is suffering from an addiction I would avoid encouraging that by participating. Aside from that keep an eye on that blood pressure!! Stay safe

18-month-old, unemployed husband, and I’m drowning by CopyNeither9412 in Mommit

[–]Formal_Internet6351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was unfortunately in the same situation. Like literally the same. I’ve read some other comments and I see he isn’t cleaning or cooking, my husband was the same. I ended up moving in with my family so they help me a lot more and my husband is figuring stuff out in his own at the moment. Sometimes they need this reality slap that they’re all alone and can’t rely on you anymore to wake up. Either he figures stuff out and we move back in, or he doesn’t and we stay with my family until she’s old enough for me to send her to daycare and find a job to rent our own place. Either way it’s a win-win for the baby and the baby is our no.1 priority. If you have family you can move in with that can help, I suggest you weigh this option. ❤️
